Macushield Capsules, 90 Count (Pack of 1)

As I have got older my vision has started to slow deteriorate so I was looking for a supplement that could help slow down the deterioration. These capsules by Macushield have all the key ingredients that have known to help with eye health so I decided to give them a try. After 6 months I have noticed a slight improvement, less blurry vision in the mornings and eye strains have gone! Hopefully the next 6 months will lead to more improvements. It's worth noting, these aren't magic pills... you will not suddenly have amazing vision that you once had but they will provide nourishment to your eyes and as part of a wider healthier diet these capsules will definitely help in the long-term! If you struggle with swallowing capsules/tablets (fortunately not an issue for me), then it might help with the fact these are fairly small soft gel capsules. Overall worth the money but you need to stick with them for the long term to realise the benefits.

Excellent product woul recommend

Have only been using these for about 4 months. Was not told to get by an Optician, but knowing how my eyes were starting to deteriorate and after speaking to my Mum who does use them, as she has early stage Macular disease, I thought I would give them a go. First box (3 months supply) I didn't really notice any difference, wasn't going to reorder, but thought as the price was good on Amazon and I had taken them regularly, that I would buy another box to give them a fair trial. It maybe me being optimistic, but in the last couple of weeks, I have noticed a slight improvement with my eyes (I am long sighted, so have to wear glasses for computer work and reading etc) and I suffer with what I can only describe as dry or tight eyes sometimes and slightly blurred vision in left eye. I do occasionally use standard eye drops, but recently this hasn't been as frequent, as haven't needed to. In short, I shall keep taking these as I think they are helping me. If they are good enough for Opticians to recommend, then they are good enough for me !

Have had this product before and seems to fullfill the requirements for helping with eye disorders although any real benefits are purely anecdotal as there are no scientific studies I can find backing them up. Previously deliveries have been by reducing the package to a flat pack which easily goes through a letter box. This last delivery was shipped as the full made up box. Not only was delivery almost 2 weeks but luckily I was in when the postman came. There has been no explanation as to the change in delivery method.

I don't have any retinal problems yet, and having been on these for about a month I cannot say my vision has noticeably changed in any way either, but the evidence that this treatment really does work to improve the health at the back of your eyes is in my view overwhelming, most recently in the BBC Trust Me I'm A Doctor programme. So my wife and I (both in our 50s) decided we would start taking these before any problems arise. We have not suffered any stomach upsets as some report, and have very quickly absorbed these in to our morning routine. I just wish they weren't so expensive. Don't be taken in by the "Gold" version of these, which I nearly was. They are a massive marketing con. They appear to be 90 capsules, as are these, and also appear to be better because they've got other stuff in addition. But what is not clear at all is that they are actually two different tablets, and you need 3 a day in total, so although they look like they are cheaper and have more good things in too, they are actually only 30 days supply, whereas these are just one a day and so really are 90 days supply. Very sneaky misleading packaging. But I am still happy that these really will be good for our eyes.

I have AMD, now bad in one eye and worse in the other. I've been taking Macushield since being advised years ago by an optician to switch from I-caps. My impression is that the supplier has put much marketing effort into opticians, but that eye hospital doctors are doubtful. I continue to take them as they may have some effect, but I too am doubtful, notwithstanding that we now have Microshield+. I am not impressed by the products high price, nor by he suppliers' misleading marketing of 'Macushield Gold'. The tablets are badly deigned, with an elliptical shape that rolls away on any smooth surface and of a material that sticks if its been resting on a surface for a while.
