Mercer Culinary 10 x 2-Inch Plastic Knife Guard, Black

To protect me from my brilliant Mercier bread knife and to have the knife safely in a drawer. for a perfect fit a little modification needed, but this is easy with a hacksaw type of tool. Very good.

Perfect fit for my 10” bread knife. Always had to keep this on top of my kitchen cupboard because it is very sharp never liked it in my drawer where my (grown up kids could reach it 😊) now with this knife gaurd I am able to leave in my drawer. Fits like a glove very happy with this cover. Thank you!

The knife guard fits the Mercer Bread knife perfectly so probably worth more than 4 stars. The only reason I gave that rating was because of the delivery. I was given so many differing dates, that it was hard to believe I would ever get it. Suffice to say it arrived. Merchant needs to polish up their act though; they did say I could return it and get a refund, but I HAD TO PAY THE POSTAGE! As the guard was so good I kept it, but not sure I would want to trust this supplier with any other orders.

It coves my newly sharpened kitchen knife in a snug and secure manner. To ask more would be greedy.

Having forked out on a Yaxell knife, I was looking for a guard to protect my investment, having purchased mercer products in the past decided it was worth looking at this as an option, turned out to be a great move, they are well constructed and cover the entire blade of my 24.5cm RAN knife, I admit I was a little dubious as the price was so low, I neednt have worried, the product is well constructed and I think a no brainer compared to the much more expensive Wustoff alternatives which are 6 times the price. If you are in the market for protecting your babies then look no further chefs!

Very sturdy, perfect fit for my Wüsthof Classic IKON 23cm Cook's Knife. I feel totally confident leaving my knife in a drawer protected by this guard.

I bought the 10 x 2 for my 10" Mercer bread knife. The guard fits really well and comes off just right not too easily that it falls off but not so tight as to be a problem. I guess when you have the knife the guard is designed for, you shouldn't have a problem. I am well satisfied.

Bought this blade guard for a kitchen knife with an unusually shaped handle that would not fit properly in standard storage solutions. This guard solved the problem perfectly. It slips onto the blade securely, protects the edge well, and makes the knife safe to store in a utensil drawer without worrying about damaging the blade or accidentally cutting yourself reaching into the drawer. Before this, the only safe storage option was putting the knife back into its factory packaging every time. This made everyday use much more practical. Simple product, but extremely useful if you have a custom or awkwardly shaped kitchen knife.

I bought this product after watching a comparison review on America’s Test Kitchen. This is an excellent bread knife. For the price it represents outstanding value. I liked this knife so much I bought a second one to keep in my caravan for our holidays. You really can’t go wrong with this knife. It just works.
