FUTON BUNK BED (FRAME ONLY) IN SILVER METAL FINISH

This bed is great when together. Solid and very comfortable.However, the instructions are lousy. Most of it is guess work. I put it together and took it apart 3 times. Worth it when it was done but allow a good 8 hrs to do it.

Did not come with sofa mattress and I've not been able to get the one in the photo.. i had to order another costing an extra £87. But the bed itself is great and matress comfortable. Easy to turn couch into bed.

Whilst in the midst of a stressful house move my devious wife and scheming child slipped the words bunk and bed by me. With a million other things to attend to I did exactly what they were hoping for and said yeah yeah whatever.I pride myself on being a strong man, however a package arrived so heavy it would push the logistical skills of ancient experts in pyramid or henge construction. Once through the cocoon of heavily caution stamped packaging I finally set eyes on my task. Mother of god! 50 odd lumps of metal - each viciously wrapped in webs of sellotape, cardboard and the sort of fragile polystyrene that was promised a role in game of thrones north of the wall scenes lay before me. Briefly I considered claiming the package never arrived - either that or the dignity of ritual suicide.The true gravity of nightmare hit as hard as recent political appointments when I gazed at the 'instructions'. The only thing that tore me away from that evil pamphlet was the myriad of sealed and labelled fixings. There were more tightly wrapped nuts in there than a gay pride march.After initially begging my wife for penance then agreeing to accept beer and Valium as an incentive I agreed to make a start. I had my 11 year old son 'help'. This mainly involved him clanging lengths of metal together and cracking constant jokes about tools.After four hours of swearing and praying to a god I do not believe in to take me from this mortal coil - eventually a perfectly fine bunk bed was in place. Suitable for even the most high security penitentiary.If you choose this fine product please be prepared to give up half a day or possibly all of your soul to see it complete.There is nothing wrong with the product - so 5 star - but be prepared to shift heaven earth and all the stars to get there.

Instructions are incorrect and show to assemble the spring frame for the bottom sofa in the wrong holes. You don't find this out until you're further along, resulting in dismantling what you've been doing for 30 minutes already.The stairs can go to the opposite end, but I had to drill extra holes in order for this to work. A couple of the "plastic" inserts for the top bunk support lats broke easily. Otherwise, this is a good, heavy construction once complete.Pity it doesn't come with a proper foam mattress for the bottom bunk as this was particularly hard for us to find in the UK.

Only giving 4 stars as one of the slats was broken but apart from that great bed. Does take a while to put together but is solid. Instructions were simple but easy to follow. Bed hasn't been slept in as I speak but looks good so far, hopefully it is durable.

an amazing bed, this was a replacement when we moved house, I was skeptical ordering one off line, but I am so glad I did, it went together well, once together it hasn't squeaked or rattled (our old much more expensive one did), we're very happy. only slight down side is the gap you have to leave between the bunk and the wall to pull the bottom bed out, but we put a couple of shelves up behind the top bunk rail and that's done the job and given storage too.

Great product, does exactly what I wanted. Instructions were not very clear, they could have been larger and clearer with some written instructions as well as diagrams. Had to take one section apart 3 times before we got it right! It took two of us, 4 hours to put together!!

Not so easy to put up but a very good strong bed
