Play 5
If your looking for a great sounding WI-FI speaker, look no further than the Sonos Play 5. This speaker is fantastic! The sound quality is second to none in this price range. Iv tried a number of other Bluetooth/ wireless speaker including Bose, echo plus and many more. None of them come close to the play 5 for great sound. The setup process is so easy and within minutes your up and ready to go. Just enterr any music streaming services you have within the app. Don't worry you'll be prompted during set up to do this. Iv also added Alexa to the speaker wirelessly which was also very easy to do. This opens the speaker to voice commands and adds to its versatility.Although the play 5 is superb it still isn't a full replacement for a hifi stereo and amp etc. However it certainly doesn't fall to far behind. It does have a fair amount of stereo desperation. Not super spacious but enough in my opinion.Anyone thinking about this speaker , just get it you won't be disappointed..

High Quality Speaker
I decided to order the Play 5 after having a demo listen in my local store, the first thing I noticed is the incredible design, that is modern and that it wouldn't look out of place in a modern living space. Design is only one reason why this product is a great speaker. The speaker itself is quite bulky due to the weight and size but this is to be expected due to the amount of speakers inside. These speakers deliver a clear and crisp sound that fills the room wherever you are sat in relation to the speaker, the app that accompanies the stereo which is released by Sonos also adds well to the whole experience of owning this speaker, it is simple to set up to the stereo and also when using it to choose what music you want to listen to, either off the device you are using or through the radio.I would highly recommend this product!

Sounds good but..
This is not my first Sonos speaker, I started with the beam, then added a couple of surround play 1's. The main reason for the purchase was to allow me to use the line in to then play old physical media I had sitting around (CDs, Records, mini disk, cassette). Connecting it up wasn't quite straight forward. While it is physically in the living room along with the existing Sonos speakers, the app would not allow it in the same room, I had to put it in another room then group the existing living room with the living room 2.Sound quality is notably better than the exiting set-up alone was providing - more depth there now.Bad points - these are mainly down to the Sonos system and not this speaker - the aforementioned issue of not as far as the app is concerned being able to put the play 5 in the same room as the existing beam and play 1 speakers. A couple of times the group has split up and gone its own way, so you find them not all active, so you have to get the living room and living room 2 back together. You can't use it with just the play 1 speakers, if the beam is turned off the remaining members of the Living room group refuses to play on it's own or with the play 5, the app complains the surround sound group is missing a member. So, the beam and the play 5 will play alone and the beam and the play 5 will go solo, but the play 1 speakers will only play if the beam is playing.

Will be adding to this system!
Very pleased with this purchase. I have previously tried multi room set ups with other brands (JBL and some nondescript brands) and have been disappointed with poor support, lack of software updates, and - most importantly - out of phase playback. The Sonos is in an entirely different league. The software frequently updates and the sound quality is very good to my untrained ears, although I admit I'm not an audiophile. I bought the Play 5 because i have a large room for it to "fill" and also for the line-in. With the line-in I have bought a separate device from Neet which mimics an airplay device so that I can stream directly from my iPhone, which I feel bridges the gap of the one thing missing natively from the Sonos set up.I have since bought a Play 1 for another room and I'm very pleased with how easy it is to group the two players and how well the music synchronises. The iPhone app could do with a bit of work though. It feels like it's several generations behind iTunes in terms of ease of navigation, but I do like the ability to search across all providers at once. I'm finding that more often than not I'm simply tuning into an Amazon Prime station or playlist.

Heard It All Now :-)
Stunning sound clarity, quality and no distortions. If you listen to the radio through the sono app, it's crystal clear. Anyone in the household can link to it and play their music. I started to hear instruments in music that I hadn't heard before. I can be upstairs and control the volume of the speaker or change track from my ipod or Android phone. It's very easy to set up and took no more than five minutes. I had read some reviews about not being linked to Amazon Prime and although I was disappointed, it wasn't a deal breaker. However, they have since changed this and it does link to prime now. I deliberated over whether to spend a large chunk of cash on a speaker but this isn't just any speaker, it's a Sonos and it is one of the best things I have ever bought, I absolutely love it and wish I hadn't deliberated now.
