I have fine, straight hair, that all my life has been prone to greasy roots and brittle ends. I used to have to wash it every other day, as any longer than that and my hair would look like it was dipped in a deep fat fryer. Pair that with an itchy scalp and dandruff, and I was pretty miserable. During lockdown, I had a lot more time to spare, and so I after watching several videos about proper hair care and informing myself on the hidden nasties in certain shampoos, I started on my 'journey' to better hair, so to speak. I heard about shea moisture and the success it has had, and so I decided to try it for myself. First impressions was great, the smell is amazing, like marshmallows and brown sugar, and the lather is great. My personal routine is to shampoo twice, first wash to get rid of product buildup and grease, and the second to fully wash your hair and let it soak up all the benefits, this is a must if you are prone to greasy hair as it makes your hair last longer between washes. I follow that up with an AVC rinse in place of a conditioner, as it helps balance the PH on your scalp reducing dandruff, and softens the hair. Honestly my hair has never felt, looked, or smelled better. I can now wash my hair twice a week without issue, as advised by my hair stylist, which I never would have been able to achieve before. I have tried other shea moisture shampoos, but personally none compare to this one. I recommend highly.

Truly amazing products, especially for curly hair (tried and tested on black coily Caribbean and white curly blonde). I love this Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen and Restore Shampoo and Conditioner. My daughter did the hard work researching everything on the market and finding something truly organic. The product description and reviews said this kit promotes hair growth, moisturises and reinvigorate the hair. And that’s very true. I am mixed black/white and USED to have very difficult hair - unmanageable coily/curly very dry /thin black hair. I have had to use hair conditioner after every wash to be able to comb with a very wide-tooth spaced brush. And every 2-3 months relaxer to keep them straight. And hot iron every week and between to keep them smooth. Not anymore. I tried to grow my hair last 10 years with no results – whichever length grow close to head got broken at the ends. All my photos last 9 years show the same length ca my ear/neck. Last 0.5-1.0 year (after I started using Jamaican Black Castor Shampoo and Conditioner ) is however completely different. My hairs are getting consistently longer and longer – currently just above my shoulder blades, a big difference compared to last 10 years. But… this is not an overnight miracle, not even a one month miracle. It took at least 6 month (if not longer) before I ever noticed any change in my hair and skin condition. With time and patience my hair became very well nourished (complemented by hairdressers), vigorous, shiny and I don’t need relaxer any more -any new growth is of nicely curls. If I don’t straighten with the hot iron they are hanging nicely in thick shiny locks (previously crazy unmanageable afro fizz/mop). I also stopped having a very bad dandruff, now my skin is in very good condition, no more dry, flakey and itchy. I would truly recommend this kit - Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen and Restore Shampoo and Conditioner, but you need to give it time for magic happen.

I love this product. Used it for years. Really takes out all the dirt, i love the scent and it really lathers up nicely. However, the packaging could be better. It arrived spilled.

I have straight hair and after my highlights I needed some extra nourishing. I also have dry scalp and psoriasis patches and this product has been a life saver. Smells wonderful, does not contain chemicals and I simply love it. I recommended to other friends with the mask and they love it too. My partner loves the shampoo by itself and is more than enough for his normal straight hair. This brand has been wrongly targeted by some ppl as for curly or afro hair only, but is not. Works great for other hair types as the brand itself labels it in products. If your hair is oily or very thin, this brand might NOT be for you and can try diluted ACV instead of shampooing daily to balance oils. I also tried the manuka honey Line and love it. Going to try leave-in conditioners at some point. Note: I'm also doing some separate overnight extra dark Jamaican oil treatments at home (warm oil is best to penetrate) and I totally recommend getting this item too (Mango&Lime or Sunny Island are great brands for it).

I was looking a long time for an organic hair shampoo and I have found the one that I like. Product is as described. This shampoo really makes my hair moisturized and a lot of volume. My hair is very voluminous after using this shampoo. I have been using this shampoo for about one month now. I am a guy who was losing/ thinning hair before using this shampoo. But since I have been using this shampoo , the shedding has stopped. I even have noticed that my hair is regrowing again after one month. The balding spot on my crown has become fuller of new growing baby hairs!! The balding spot is starting to vanish. I have let it checked by my wife, if the bading spot is starting to vanish and she has confirmed my statement. First, I was sceptic about using this shampoo for regrowing hair ( black castor oil). But now I believe that there's something really beneficial about it. I will surely keep continue using this for more and better hair regrowth results. I can't wait to see the results after 3 months. It is a quite a big bottle, and it latters a lot. So no need to use a lot of shampoo. The bottle will last long. I'll definitly reorder this shampoo again.

This is a great product! (I am including the conditioner in this review as the two are used together.) I had been desperately looking for a replacement shampoo/conditioner after the one I was using went out of production and, in the process of testing various shampoos, my hair was getting drier and drier and becoming stiff and straw-like. I had never heard of the shea product line before - I discovered it purely by chance when reading an Amazon review on another shampoo done by 'kk' (23 May 2015) who said she had mixed race curly hair and had gone back to shea. I also have 'mixed race curly (frizzy) hair' which is also heat-styled and thought, if it could work for 'kk's' hair, it could possibly work on mine. And boy, did it! My hair became soft, silky and smooth after the first shampoo. I didn't realise that my scalp had also been drying out but that instantly improved - becoming less itchy. I got my 23-year-old son, who has suffered with 'dry scalp' for years, to try it and he's seen/felt an immediate difference. I also got my husband to try it (on what's left of his hair!) and he said, "I think my hair's softer." They are both converts. I'm soooo pleased. So please, don't go out of production. You have customers for life!

Ich benutze dieses Shampoo seit 2 Wochen und merke, dass mein Haar deutlich gewachsen ist. Mein Freund hat es auch bemerkt, bin so froh darüber!. Es tut was es verspricht. Ich habe 4a/4b Locken und es reinigt mein Haar super ohne Rückstände zu hinterlassen wie bei einigen Shampoos, die ich in der Vergangenheit benutzt habe. Ich würde dieses Produkt empfehlen an die Leute, die Afrohaar haben und an die Leute, die mit Trockenheit kämpfen müssen. Wenn du 'Low porosity hair' hast, könnte das Produkt dein Haar eher austrocknen. Wenn du aber 'High Porosity hair' hast, funktioniert das Produkt super, Ich habe 'high porosity hair' . Der Grund dafür ist einfach, in dem Produkt ist Protein enthalten und wenn du 'low porosity hair ' hast, kann es sein dass du 'Protein sensitiv ' bist. Und egal welche Haartyp/Lockentyp du hast. Nach der Anwendung ist eine Spülung empfohlen!. Damit bleibt dein Haar nicht trocknen und somit funktioniert das Produkt super. Wenn du Haarausfall bei 4a/4b/4c Haar hast, könnte dieses Produkt dabei helfen ansonsten hilft Aphogee Protein treatment.

Uso esta marca desde hace años, pero este es el mejor champú para mi pelo con diferencia. Limpia en profundidad, cuero cabelludo sobre todo. Se puede usar en el método curly que para mi es lo más importante. Deja el pelo con volumen. En cuanto a la suavidad, en mi caso no lo deja suave porque lo tengo rizado y seco, pero tampoco lo deja estropajoso. Después uso un buen acondicionador o mascarilla y listo. La única pega que le pongo es que llegó el envase abierto y se derramó bastante. Pero para evitar devoluciones y demás me lo quedé.

Sono molto contenta di questo prodotto, lo uso dopo l’impacco di olio di ricino ed è meraviglioso, basta pochissimo prodotto per togliere l’unto dai capelli, faccio due lavaggi ma ne basterebbe anche uno solo. È composto da prodotti naturali (come vedete nella foto) non ha niente di chimico ed è ideale per chi ha capelli fini e delicati come i miei, lo consiglio. Penso che questo sia lo shampoo che userò a vita. Non scrivo mai una recensione ma questo prodotto lo merita. Ne basta pochissimo ho già fatto tre shampoo e come vedete dalla foto ne basta veramente poco. Avrei dato 10 stelle se ci fosse stata l’opportunità. Lascia i capelli morbidi e profumati e non è necessario usare balsamo o creme districanti. Super soddisfatta

Love this shampoo .. lathers great

I wasn’t gonna write a review at first cause I thought “it’s a shampoo, who cares.” But this thing is real good. Really cleans your hair and scalp, and got rid of a bit of dry skin I had both on my scalp and eyebrows. I’m definitely buying again and would recommend it.
