This bike lock is very sturdy and I have confidence it will do the job when locking the bike up in an open space. I have gone for this one along with a small D-lock to ensure both wheels can be locked to the bike frame, which itself is locked to a bike rack, so all a thief can take is the seat. The lock also comes with a mounting bracket so you don't need to lug it in a bag. To really up your bike security, I'd recommend getting this rear-light alarm which is piercingly loud upon detection of vibration, deterring thieves (I am not endorsed by them, this is just a good idea). It comes with a key-fob for remote locking and unlocking, just like a car! And then maybe consider getting a tracking device like an Airtag and hiding it with a hidden mounting bracket as I have done under the seat. Bought one of these lock's for my road bike. I wanted something big and secure looking. On time I recieved the lock, with a strong cable that can be attached to your bike and also help secure the wheels with three keys. My only downside was the bracket that held the lock. While it's screws on very tight it has snapped twice while going down a kerb. Initially I thought it was a manufacturer defect so with the 100% guarantee Sigtuna provides I was sent a replacement with 1pm Special delivery. Unfortunately the bracket on that broke too so Sigtuna refunded me what I paid. I definitely would recommend the lock, I will absolutely keep using it as it does seem super secure and heavy duty but will carry it in a bag. I will certainly look to use more Sigtuna gear after the customer service I recieved. Unlike others I wasn't asked to provide a review for an incentive I just appriciate a good product and feel like everyone should know what a great company Sigtuna is, what a great lock this is but also that the bracket sucks.

The lock is secure, strong and easy to use. I'm happy to have invested in such a lock. I would recommend them to anybody. The fact it has a D lock and a chain works perfectly at securing my bike to prevent theft! 10/10

Good sturdy lock well worth the money

It looks very secure, I have a vintage style bicycle and I could not find a place to attached it but apart from that no issues.

First tme I've fitted a bracket to a bike to support a bike lock but diagram and instructions helped me fit it quickly and easily. The D-lock is reassuringly heavy and it has the cable for added security when necessary. I experienced some minor teething problems with the key but soon got the hang of it.

This is a very sturdy lock - the U bar is 16 mm., impossible to break with the bolt cutters employed by bike thieves, or so I'm told (never tried it myself!). Also supplied is a flexible braided steel cable 1200 mm. long, this helps to greatly increase security when looped through the U bar and through your front wheel or saddle etc. There is a sturdy mounting bracket supplied with a push button quick release and the braided steel cable has its own velcro mounting option supplied. My bike is a folding bike with step through frame so has less mounting options but I have fitted the bracket to the saddle stem and find it very convenient to use in this way. The lock is a very sturdy unit and I'm sure it will resist most attacks or at least deter the potential thief and send him looking for an easier target! In conclusion, this package is a great lock set and is outstanding value for money - you would have to spend a great deal more to improve on it, I can readily recommend it to anyone looking for convenient security for their bike. 5 stars all the way from me!

I use that lock for about 9 months and my bike has not been stolen, so that's a good sign!! 😄 However, when it is locked, it wiggles a bit. I don't know if it is normal.

Ich habe das Fahrradschloss von Sigtuna nun schon seit etwa einem Monat und es funktioniert wirklich einwandfrei und sieht auch sehr gut verarbeitet aus. Da ich in einer Fahrradstadt lebe und ich mein Fahrrad auch wirklich JEDEN Tag nutze, brauche ich ein gutes Schloss um mein Fahrrad sicher und schnell abzuschließen. Ich hatte vor Sigtuna schon 2 Schlösser in 4 Monaten verbraucht. Ich war sogar extra bei einem Fahrradhändler um mir ein besseres Schloss als die gängigen und dünnen zu kaufen, aber auch das hat nicht geholfen. Daher bin ich sehr froh mit meinem Sigtuna Schloss, denn man kann es sicher und einfach am Fahrrad mit einer Vorrichtung befestigen (braucht nur einen Schraubendreher). Es hat ein weiteres dickes Klabel, welches mit dem Schloss verbunden werden kann, sodass man den "Abschließradius" vergrößern kann und das Schloss kann durch einen Drehmechanismus vor Schmutz und Regen geschützt werden. Kann nur sagen: Klasse Schloss!

Lo compré para usarla con una bici y cumple sobradamente los requisitos que pedía. Aseguro tanto el cuadro como las dos ruedas. En cuanto a seguridad cumple perfectamente las expectativas. El candado en U pesa un poco pero nada desorbitado. Además trae un soporte para ponerlo en la bici que no está mal.
