These fittings are for use in a junction box and should be mounted above the ground for maintenance purposes.

**Q: i have a 10mm 3 core armoured cable with a external diameter of 20mm, is this gland the correct size ?**
A: I used one of these glands on armoured cable that that I ran along an overhead wire, the cable did not fit through the gland without removing the insulation, luckily it only had to pass through a plywood soffit board, vertically, so it did not matter.
