A beatiful pram, a little expensive but worth the money if you have it!
Ok so having bought a pram already earlier on in my wife's pregnancy we were saddened to realise it was was to big and impractical when folding down for transport. It seems this is such an easy mistake to make as first time parents and unsurprising considering the amount of times you see pictures of prams described as compact & 'folds down easily' but with no measurement or pictures of the folded down chassis in view. However my wife & I went on a trip over to Kiddicare in Peterborough at the weekend and clocked our eyes on one of these. Having the chance to play around with the various modes and walk it around it moved smoothly, had a luxurious look and of course folded down nice & compactly. Now i like to buy from the place I'm using to abuse the privilege of actually getting hand on with the product but they didn't have this available in stock (2-3 week lead time which could end in disappointment) and wont price-match Amazon despite the price match promise, hence Amazon won my custom. As usual it came nice and quickly. I ordered Pre-1am delivery in order that it would come early as my Mum offered to wait in for the parcel. I got a text from DPD around 8.25am saying this along with my other item Cosatto Hold Isofix Car Seat Base 2014 Range - Black would be delivered between 8.30am and 9.30am. An hours slot which was really great to have. It was swiftly delivered at 9am. The package did have a small dent but the item was really well packed inside so was nothing to worry about. So on to the review of the item itself... Packaging: Solid cardboard package - all items in one box. Yes it's big & heavy but its easier as items less likely to go missing in transit, etc. Everything inside was really well packages - alot of the bars and where decals were placed were wrapped in protective covering ensuring it arrived in tip top condition... which it did! It took a while to get everything out of the box and set up (maybe 30 min max) but it was fun to do so and by no means difficult - no instructions required. The wheels themselves were even covered in a plastic shrinkwrap so you can wheel it around to try it without getting the wheels dirty in case you feel the need to return (not that i could imagine you would). Quality & Feel: Pram is lightweight yet feels solid & sturdy. Handles well from how it has been used so far. Handlebar adjusts up & down to cater for your height. The fabric feels well tailored too with the zips all doing up with ease and without catching along the way which is often the case with cheaper prams/pushchairs. My only criticism is the brake which is a small clip on the frame, rather than the traditional footbreak does take some getting used to and probably isn't for the weak of hand. Looks & Appeal: This is clearly a higher mid-range pram and as such is priced accordingly. The pram itself justifies that price tag. Colours are very similar to what is seen on screen and really pop out. The leather is also very well made, not thin & cheap. What you might not see on screen unless you zoom in is the indented floral patterns on the leather work which really add that extra touch and luxury feel to the whole item. The Cosatto logo in multi-colour down the side along with the flower logos on the joints are a really nice touch that could easily have been made plain to keep costs down if Cosatto had wanted. Compactness: In full setup it's still not a large pram and would be easy to navigate around your local supermarket or shopping centre. When folded down it compacts enough to fit in most small family cars. If you have a supermini or small car it may just fit too. My wife currently has a 3 door Peugeot 206 and while the standard folded down chassis was just to big for the boot, you can easily unclip the 2 larger wheels and it fits perfectly. The pram top could be squeezed in to the boot if folded down, etc but is easier just to carry in the front. But in honesty if you have a smaller car this will be a problem whichever pram you buy. At least in this case you CAN get it all in. Albeit if you have a Fiat 500 or something really tiny I'd recommend a trip to a retailer to try it out for certain! Accessories: The package includes adapters to allow you to fix the car seat (sold separately) onto the pram body. While you would expect this in the price, many manufacturers at a similar price point will charge you cยฃ20+ for these separately so it's good to know before buying. That said the Car Seat can be purchased as part of the bundle or separately but will bump the price up cยฃ130. However shop around as we got an ex-display model from Kiddicare as new for ยฃ100. The pretty travel/nappy bag is included in the bundle which is always handy and you have a small storage bag that clips onto the frame too. Overall a good set of accessories although a cup holder would have been welcomed! Verdict: If you want a pretty, good quality and compact pram this is your winner. Its a bit more than the average pram for sure but it has alot to offer and in the world of boring prams this will certainly make you're little princess stand out but in a pretty, elegant kind of a way.

Cute and quirky with fab designs
I chose the Ooba primarily because I knew just how rigorously they are safety tested and so I had that confidence that my newborn would be traveling in complete safety but have come to love it for much, much more than that. It's huge basket is a real plus and having the brake mounted on the handlebar is a fantastic idea. Having a hood that is large and gives SPF protection gives it that extra bit of coverage on the summer months and coming complete with footmuff gives warmth in winter. The huge wheels make pushing this pram super easy and I can even do so one handed too. The only niggle I have is that putting it down is a pain in the bum but I'm not planning on doing that too often so it doesn't really bother me. I love my Ooba for it's beautiful design, durability and overall quality and am glad that I get to push it.

Promenading in style
With a new addition to the extended family expected before long we jumped at the chance to try this splendid Cosatto rig. The first impression when it arrived was how heavy it is, although you'll never be using the carry cot/pram and pushchair modules at once. The chassis with wheels is 7.5kg and folds easily to 72L x 61W x 33H cms. The wheels come off very readily, making it a more compact 62L x 52W x 22H, much easier to fit in the car. It takes under a minute to re-assemble it and fit the carry cot. If you buy the optional car seat it fits onto the chassis like a pushchair, so you only need the car seat and chassis for some trips. The cargo carrier low down is capacious and accessible. There's also a matching bag for changing things etc. The carry cot unit is large and strong, 4.8kg, 86L x 45W x 25H and is quick to fit onto the chassis, making a really splendid pram, with your baby facing you, and the large wheels at the rear. It is easy to fix the smaller wheels so they don't swivel and the main handle, which has a very convenient brake control, can be extended (I'm tall but don't hit my feet on the pram when striding along) . It can also be tilted the other way, so the big wheels are at the front. Once your baby graduates from the carry cot/pram to the push chair top you'll find it a marvel of engineering. It fits either way on the chassis so you can maintain eye contact with your child or offer a view of where you're going. It adjusts from almost vertical through two reclined positions to a sleep-friendly flat position. The foot rest section adjusts in angle too. With all the bits, including winter layer, hood and rain cover it's 5kg, 87L x 42W x 25H. It looks like it would be excellent when you are taking your child to some function which goes on well past their bedtime - the Ooba is pretty sleep friendly. Note that neither the carry cot nor the pushchair units are any good in a car - you need a proper car seat and clearly a Cosatto one that fits onto the wheeled chassis will be tempting - and of course you'll have to buy a bigger one as your baby grows -safety is paramount. Verdict: The duck egg blue version we have trialled is very attractive looking , the designers seem to have thought of everything, including all types of weather! The travel system is not cheap, especially when you add on the cost of compatible car seats. It also has no pretensions of catering for two infants at once. But it is very well engineered and sturdy and all the adjustments are pretty intuitive. Above all it's lovely to wheel along - almost like having one of those grand old prams from yesteryear. It's also flexible, the way it can take a carry cot (to act as a pram), a pushchair unit or a car seat.
