Hi The unit is a great item I have got It on a three phase lathe the unit as stated requires 8-15 volts dc I fitted a 240v ac adjustable power adapter and set t to 12 volt dc .if you go above 16 volts it can blow. Hope this helps Jem C

I would think the DIGITEN 4 Digital Green LED Tachometer RPM Speed Meter+Hall Proximity Switch Sensor NPN is not going to be easy to install on a motor bike.You will need to mount the magnet that's provided to something that rotates with the crankshaftso the hall effect pick up sends 1 pulse per revolution to the rev counterthe magnet needs to pass within 1 or 2 mm from the sensorthe automotive tachometers I've seen either connect to the connection between the contact breaker (or electronic ignition module ) & HT coil or use a pick up mounted to a spark plug cable
