I bought this because I had a slow puncture and discovered that my car's Fix & Go kit couldn't be used just to inflate the tyre without using the sealant as well. I didn't want to waste the sealant on a slow leak, as I'd rather keep it for a genuine roadside emergency.This turned out to be exactly what I needed. It was simple to use, inflated the tyre without any fuss and allowed me to keep topping it up until I could get the puncture repaired properly. It saved me from using my emergency kit unnecessarily, which was a big plus.The build quality feels good, it's easy to store in the boot and provides real peace of mind for anyone whose car doesn't come with a spare wheel. It's one of those items you hope you won't need often, but you'll be glad to have when you do.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation. It's a practical accessory that can save both time and money by preserving your emergency sealant for when it's really needed.

This is the second of these pumps that I have purchased.Bought this to keep in the boot 'just in case' and for the convenience of not having to go to a garage. Besides the reasonable price, the apparent endorsement by the 'AA' was a major factor in opting for this pump.The pump can display tyre pressure in PSI, BAR and KPI, so it's good for the wide range of measures used today. In addition to tyres, the pump can also be used (with care) to inflate other items such as air-beds, stand-up boards and canoes etc. Adapters are supplied for this purpose and these can be stored in the body of the pump which is useful if, like me, you tend to lose these sorts of things.The pump also comes with a handy built-in LED torch (although this can only be used whilst the unit is plugged-in to the car). The torch can display a white or red light and can be set to flash to warn others of danger or as an SOS if required.For storage, the unit is compact - the power cable, hose and attachments can all be stored within purpose designed cavities in the pump body. This is a nice touch as it means that the unit cab be stored in the vehicle without taking up too much space.The power cable plugs in to a standard 12v, negative earth 'auxiliary power slot' (i.e. cigarette lighter) so is good for the vast majority of cars on UK roads. The power cable is a good length but it is likely that you will have to swap sides to inflate all four tyres as it is not long enough to go around the car.The hose (airline) is relatively short but adequate, the length will enable you to reach the valve even if it is at the top of the wheel with the pump still on the ground. The beauty of the short length is the option to store it (mentioned above). The end of the airline has an attached adapter that screws on to the valve of the tyre. This can be a bit fiddly in use, especially when removing the airline and in some respects, I would have preferred a similar connector to those found in a garage; that said, the screw-on option makes a good seal and allows for other adapters to be attached if required.Tyre pressure is displayed on a small but easily readable LCD screen. The pump can be used to check the existing tyre pressure and it will automatically top-up the tyre if required. The pump auto-cuts once the required pressure is reached. Switching between PSI, BAR and KPI is easy to do and the current pressure system is clearly displayed too. Another nice touch is that the unit will remember the last set pressure which is useful unless used on multiple cars.In use, the pump is reliable but loud. I dislike the volume level and was quite shocked by it the first time -nevertheless, the pump does the job so this is not a huge negative to me.All round great tool for a great price. Recommended.One star off for the fiddly attachment which does mean a little lost air when removing from the valve and also the volume level.

I love this tyre inflator. It works really well, is easy to figure out and great value for money. It's a bit noisy, but what do you expect for a tyre pump? The size is perfect as it fits in the boot of the car and rides around with me everywhere just in case it's needed. I also use it monthly to check tyre pressure.

Brilliant kit, great value, very quick and easy to setup and use, and has very clear and obvious controls/buttons making it very simple to use.The best thing about this inflator is the screw-on (threaded) valve connector, which I cannot stress the value of enough.Try to avoid a flip-lever clamp (the most typical kind you'll get), most digital tyre inflators for around £20 or so will have this and it's definitely worth spending a little bit more to have the thread on version as found on this AA inflator. Instead of forcing a spring-loaded clamp down at an angle, you can smoothly twist this brass fitting directly onto the tyre valve threads. It ensures the internal pin is engaged perfectly straight every single time, eliminating the uneven sideways pressure and sudden snap-backs that bend or jam valve cores. It's not expensive to have the valve cores replaced/fixed but a faff to sort out obviously.It's reasonably compact, not heavy at all so easy to keep in the car handy. It can also be used to inflate bicycle tyres. Looks pretty smart and has a useful light with several modes (generic illumination and also an SOS flashing mode). It inflates very quickly, and by slightly unfastening the threaded brass fitting you can also lower the tyre pressure and watch the live pressure on the device's screen. The auto shut off function means you can type your exact target pressure into the digital screen, turn it on, and it will automatically stop the moment it hits the correct pressure. Plugs straight into your car's 12V cigarette lighter socket. I would 100% recommend to anyone who wants a faff-free, easy and reliable digital tyre inflator.

Having been caught short with a soft tyre I thought it was time to get an inflator . This was the perfect buy , with the AA name to back it up . Have used it twice so far and it hasnt let me down . I particularly like the fact that it screws onto the tyre valve instead of just clipping on so it is a really good fit . Noise wise it is perfectly acceptable and lets face it when its peeing down with rain and you have to pump your tyre up the last thing you are worrying about is whether its noisy or not !! A very good product , I fully recommend it .

Heb er twee gekocht vanwege mijn ervaring uit 2009 toen ik er een in Spanje gekocht had en welke nog steeds werkt voor mijn auto in Spanje. Helaas waren de twee welke ik gekocht heb voor mijn twee auto''s hier in Nederland volgens mij retour modellen. De ene werkte het licht niet en de ander was de stekker kapot. Maar stuur ze niet retour vanwege de prijs. Pomp van beiden is perfect, licht interesseert mij niet en stekker repareer ik zelf. De pomp slang heeft schroefdraad aansluiting voor het ventiel wat veel beter is dan de slechte klemaansluitingen!

Very disappointed. Difficult to attach to tyre valve. Previous one I had it pushed on and could be locked on. This one you have to fiddle with a screw and it takes ages to do and very fiddly. At 82 years old I find it almost impossible
