Good value and easy to use
Had a few months now. It works well but just be careful with the handle as I feel it isn't that strong. For the money overal I am happy with it though.

Good product and does what it's supposed to do.
I use this steamer for my floors in my home and works well. It does not leave my foors soaking and my floors dry in minutes. It was easy to set up when i took it out of the box and the instructions came with it. Its good at cleaning up dust and dirt with little fuss and glides easy enough on tiles and wooded floors. More tougher marks does require some hard pressing scrub action but only to be expected. It doesn't take long for it to be ready to use and the cloths come apart from the mop for easy cleaning. Filling it with water is very easy, just open the lid on the front and put the water into it. The water in it seems to last a good while before it needs topping up again. The head of the mop is fixed into place, it does not turn left or right which is an issue because being able to have a head which moves/swivels would imporve control and make cleaing even easier. It's lightweight but I have owned lighter steam mops. I'm not sure if some people might find it a little heavy but I don't think they would. Overall I think it is a great product for the price and does what i brought it for so would recommend.

EXCELENT MACHINE.
Excellent product at a sensible price. Easy to use and holds more water (in tank) than I expected so more floor ares cleaned than my previous (tempremental) model. NO water spitting /leakage over floor.Sterady flow of steam so does not take tong to dry. The blue floor pad is excellent. Much deeper pile than the usual so gives good cleaning results (without cleaning fluid put on FLOOR).

Very impressed
I purchased this for my mother, who was currently using a mop and bucket for cleaning her kitchen floor. Mum has a couple of dogs, and although she dries them as best she can, those little feet always leave some residue that isn't always highly visible. The mop and bucket aren't some old-fashioned vintage stuff; they're made by a highly reputable company, but they still leave residue. This steam Mop is very impressive, and it only requires a small amount of water to do a perfect job. It also heats up almost instantaneously and pushes the steam to directly the mop head (cloth). It is so effortless to use and glides across the floor lifting the dirt and leaving only a light residue of water that dries up in a few minutes. The mop head (cloth) is triangular and this allows for precision cleaning in tight areas and ensures you are getting the best clean possible. The whole unit is lightweight and requires no hard pressure or scrubbing to achieve a beautifully clean floor. Mums kitchen floor is laminate and she hasn't experienced issues with warping or any other types damage. The mop comes with 2 cloth heads the floor and another that can be used on carpet or rugs although we have not used them at the point of writing this review. Mums kitchen is about 18ft square and having two cloth heads allows you to swap one out if it becomes dirty and replace with the second whilst on the go. The mop heads are machine washable and always come out looking brand new, the whole device has been very well thought out and is very sturdy and very compact so can be easily stored in a small cupboard. This has made mums life so much easier and her kitchen floor has never been cleaner. I am happy to say this gets the mum seal of approval and she said for me to give the review 10 stars. Highly recommended and the price is very reasonable.

Cheap - and it shows! Shoddy quality. Do not buy.
I first bought this steam cleaner in the summer of 2019, with a 2 year guarantee, primarily on the strength of the Russell Hobbs brand name. My first impression was disappointment at how flimsy it was. In fairness, despite everything that follows, it does clean well if you can live with its failings. For context, I bought it to clean the oak flooring in my kitchen and living room once a week. Within a couple of weeks of first using it, the bracket for holding the cable snapped off. After a few months more, the footpad started falling off when the steamer was lifted from the floor, but it carried on working if I 'skated' it over the surface. Then, early summer 2020, the handle snapped off from the stem and it became unusable. I finally lost patience and contacted Russell Hobbs customer service, asking them to implement the guarantee. This took some time as the first Covid lock-down was in place. To say they were ungracious is an understatement; the assumption seemed to be that I was to blame. After emails backwards and forwards, including sending photo's, they grudgingly agreed to provide a replacement - providing I first returned the broken parts for them 'to conduct an investigation'. They then tried to insist that the replacement was a 'gesture of good will' so there would be no warranty on the and when I pointed out once again that I was still less than a year into the guarantee period they were at pains to insist that the new machine would only receive the balance of the first machine's guarantee - so much for their own confidence of the reliability of their product. I started using the new machine - but very gingerly - and again I have to concede that it cleaned the floors well enough. Until, that is, 6 months in, during the 2'nd lock-down, it just stopped working. Plug it in, the operating light comes on, but no steam appears. Technically, we are still well within the guarantee period of the first cleaner, so I suppose that if I wanted to I could start to battle once again with their customer services for a repair or replacement, but I don't have the will to go through it all again. Bottom line is that if they offered me a replacement, I wouldn't have another one of these cleaners even if they paid me. Or any other Russell Hobbs product for that matter. I have bought a new machine from a different manufacturer.

Designed down to a price and it shows
It is a steam mop, it works but the build quality is awful, everything has slop in the joints, all the plastics squeak so expecting it to collapse any minute. Also metal extension handle is too short so using is hard on the back. Yes it produces some steam, not sure how much it is supposed to produce but it does remove the dirt. Best bought as a try it machine, if you like it you can replace it with something decent when it breaks.

Great value and simple to use
This is a great value steam mop that is simple to use and lightweight. Out of the box you will need to assemble the mop, which simply clicks together and is quite straightforward. Fill the tank, plug in, switch on and wait around 30 seconds and your away. The mop is ready to use really quickly. My experience of using this on tiles and laminate is mostly positive. The pad picks up surface dirt easily but it struggled with engrained dirt near the skirting boards. This is partly due to the pad not having a deep pile and the steam not quite getting to the outer edge of the mop. It glides about easily but you should not treat it like a hoover. Another review noted that the handle had broken quite easily and I have to say that you can feel it creak in use. As long as it is used forward to back rather than side to side it should last. A full tank allowed me to mop a kitchen, lounge, dining room and I still had enough to give my rug a once over using the carpet glider. I used brita filtered water to prevent limescale. The carpet glider is simply a triangle of plastic that the mop sits on. It does not clip on which is a little frustrating but as you shouldn't steam rugs etc. every day it's only a small inconvenience. You get 2 pads included, so you may want to get a few more if you want a fresh one everyday. I have steamed my rug to kill any bacteria and it seems to work. I have four pugs and my rug can get pretty stinky. The mop has killed the odour without leaving the rug damp. I did not give this mop a full five stars as the power lead is now shorter than earlier models. So, despite it claiming to have a generous 8 metre lead for less unplugging you will still need to unplug to move room to room. It's a real shame as the longer lead made it so much more convenient. A great feature of the mop is the auto cut off when it is left standing upright. Great if you need to break off and do something mid clean. For the money and the ease of use this mop is a definite must have. Not perfect but very close. TIP - buy a set of quality slip on floor shoe mops to dry whilst you steam. Try it, its great fun and easier than using an additional drying mop.
