Although I've had a lot of experience in growing beards I'd never looked into the products available for maintaining them. A few online articles had mentioned the Zilberhaar beard brush and the price was realistic for what it proclaimed to offer.Initially I was surprised at the compact size but in reality I don't have a chin the size of Desperate Dan and the brush is ideal in shape and size to manage the hairs on your face. The bristles are firm and massage your face without scratching it and I have had no bristle loss in the week or so I have had it.The companies ethos is good as well. There are clear instructions with the brush and an emphasis on customer satisfaction. It even comes with a lifetime guarantee which I cannot see ever being used.Overall I am extremely happy with my Zilberhaar beard brush and really have to restrain myself from brushing my beard more than once a day. I have no beard itch, which was always a problem, and my beard looks tidy and feels soft.

This brush exudes quality! It's small but perfectly formed. I see they now make a travel version, but really this is small enough to tuck in your toiletry bag. It is initially quite stiff, but once you get used to it, feels like it really is doing something. My beard is only a month old and I'm no gorilla, but still find it feels good to brush through some beard oil.I would say it has all the attributes of any boar bristle brush and is a quality package. I've maybe had the odd hair fall out, but very minor. I just looked it over for this review and noticed a certain amount of dead skin in the bristles, so I guess it's really exfoliating my skin. Mine arrived after the itchy stage, but I would imagine it would be a relief during that period.I do find myself using it several times a day and it is always a pleasure. A little ritual and part of the enjoyment of wearing a beard. You can buy cheaper, but it brings a smile to my face whenever I use it, so it was worth it for me. Highly recommended. I received no advantage by writing this review. It's my honest opinion.

Amazing quality

I wanted to give this brush a bit of time before reviewing it, but I can say that it is a fantastic purchase. I stupidly waited nearly 2 years into growing my beard before getting a brush, thinking a comb is better for longer beards. I was wrong. This brush is literally training my wild face mane to go down and stay down. Prior to this, I had to use quite a bit of Dapper Dan (I'm a Dapper Dan man!) to get it to stay down, now I only need to use a small bit for the stray hairs. My beard is fuller looking, and feels better since I started using it. Highly recommended as it's a fantastic price for what you get. Didn't fully read it before buying so it was smaller than I thought, but it doesn't matter, it goes the job perfectly! This with a decent beard oil will be of great benefit to your man mane!

Nice small brush with stiff bristles! Perhaps a bit smaller than I expected so pay attention to the pictures.The bristles are a bit hard on the skin if you have a shorter beard but for the longer hair it works well.Overall a very good beard brush!

I bought this for my Maine Coon. He likes the stiffness of the brush. And it helps with his coat. My finer haired Egyptian Mau also likes the brush for her coat as well.The brush is firm without being so hard that it hurts. The bristles are good and sturdy not flimsy. No unusual smells to the brush. I especially like the handle. It has a good sturdy feeling to it. It is comfortable to hold and very durable. I won’t say that it’s ergonomically designed. But it’s easy to handle because it is small and fits in the palm of your hand if you have a big hand; easy to grip. So far it’s been easy to clean with my fingers, but to be on the safe side, I also use a comb to get in between the bristles. It is definitely very portable. You can stick it in a purse, or a backpack, even keep it in your glove box or in that little compartment between the front seats, it’s that small. Overall, good value for the money. Would definitely recommend it for both men with thick or wiry beards and mustaches, as well as for small pets.

This is really an amazing product that any man considering having a beard of any type or length should have in their toolkit.First lot, it is small and compact enough to make it easy to carry on your trips not taking space. The quality of material in wood and boar bristles is top notch.Note that the bristles are on the tough side and for me this is great as I wanted something compact enough like this enough but if sufficient bristle hardness to help straighten my curly beard.

Pros:1. Size is very handy and perfect.2. Original boar bristle brush as the seller declared. At first you will feel it hard if you’re first time using any boar bristle brush. Once you will how to use the brush ad per your comfort, you’ find it very comfortable. Due to it’s boar bristles my skin is much exfoliated now than before and no deadskin/dandruff under the dense areas.3. With beard oil it gives awesome hold to your stray hairs and give you a mascular bearded look.4. Due to it’s uniform space between the bristles it’s very easy to clean with a help of any blower.Cons:1. At first you may get a weird smell from the bristles as they are original plucked boar bristles (you can even see the follicles). But after one month of usage with beard oils the smell will fade away.
