However over a year on I find that I prefer the firm bristles and they have helped train my beard to not be as messy. This is an issue when it comes to long-term use. So this time around I opted to purchase one that was more premiumly priced and I am pleased with my decision. This brush is smaller in size compared to the previous ones I have owned but that makes it ideal when it comes to travel. The bristles are also a bit tougher and not as soft compared to the cheaper options out there, so it may take some time to get used to it, but it feels like you're actually brushing your beard which is nice. The bristles are also well spaced out so any dirt that will gather through normal use can easily be cleaned and the brush can be well maintained.
