BigHorn Biltong 'Certified Paleo' Longhorn Beef Original Flavour 250g Pack

A few weeks ago I tried this, as my first ever biltong experience. It was delicious. So juicy, thick, proper tasty and ridiculously good. It made me wonder why the US is so obsessed with jerky when you could have biltong! A few days ago I fancied more, but felt like going in a different direction; I wanted to try the flavoured ones. But Bighorn didn't do them in a taster pack, so I tried another company (won't name them, probably against the rules anyway). I was incredibly excited, opened em up..it was like the freshly shaved scabs from a motorcycle accident victim. I returned them, and bought another pack of these. Sure they're "plain" flavoured, but these absolutely trounce the others out there. I wish there was a smaller pack available, because it's a *lot* of biltong, and incredibly difficult to put down once you start ha.

Not overly keen on the flavor and size...too small

Really good biltong, lean, and chewy. Really tasty as not overpowered with sugar like most of them, not over processed Best I have had. Great for keto diets as sugar free.

Avoid, bland tasting product, mould growth and a bad smell.

OK, but an odd taste. I purchased this biltong as it was certified paleo and unlike other beef jerkey/biltong products, it wasn't caked in seasoning and flavours which although enhances the taste, negates the healthiness of the product due to high sugar content. The BigHorn Billtong Longhorn doesn't have these super high sugar content flavourings on them and thus, are a very lean source of protein. That being said, as with most "health alternatives" the flavour is a bit lacking and if you've been having more traditional beef jerkey and biltong, you will notice the flavour here is more sharp and potent. I have no doubt in the quality of the product. It was sent in a timely manor, in vacuum sealed packaging, and the quantity you got per pack was enough to create 7-8 snack sized servings. If you want a lean, healthy and natural source of protein and don't mind sacrificing some of the sweet flavourings found on most beef snacks, then this is the best out there. However if you're just wanting a nice beef snack and want some flavour, I wouldn't recommend this product.

I have tried lots of biltong but this is no 1 for me, I love the original with hint of coriander it is perfectly flavoured and delicious, ideal low carb healthy snack.

The quality was great but the flavours weren't for me unfortunately. I tried to like it but just couldn't enjoy the seasoning on it which is a shame because it was well coated and the meat was fantastic quality.
