We have done a good amount of testing in this area, even going so far as to leave bottles in the trunks of our cars for up to 3 days straight during a New York heat spell. The result: most of the soft gels lost their shape and some even broke apart. However, when we assayed the product contained within the soft gels, (Q-Gel CoQ10, Alpha Lipoic Acid etc.), there was no loss of potency or strength.Bottom line is that in very hot weather it is likely that the soft gels, (and possibly even capsules), will stick together during shipment but if they can be "shaken" apart and they have not broken open then there is absolutely no problem using them - even if they have lost their shape a little bit.
