Amazing product, I am in love!
I am in love! I had been using Loreal Prodigy 'Vermillion' for a few years and could no longer find it anywhere. This was actually for the best-since that dye is for dark hair, it lightens as well as colours. My hair had become dry and straw-like and no conditioner or mask made an iota of difference. The dyes I found were either much too red or generally unnatural looking. I experimented with mixing Directions dye, but it had no effect on my roots, just the lightened bits, so I was stuck. I decided to try Henna, but was put off by the effort involved, so was pleased to find this liquid version. The dye was easy to apply (we had just opened our third bottle of wine when I remembered that I was meant to be dyeing my hair, so if a drunk can do it...!) and it's great that it can be applied to wet hair as I find this much easier to work through more evenly. This meant that I could stay in the shower to apply it, which saved my flooring and walls. The consistency was spot on, although it started running ever so slightly just before rinse time, but that's probably because I squeezed rather than towel dried my hair. The dye smelled gorgeous and there was a good amount-I have thick hair, almost to my waist and used 1.5 bottles, so there's enough left to do my roots or anywhere I might have missed in my merry state! (Unscrew the lid, rather than snip it so you can save it). I woke this morning to the softest, shiniest hair I have had in years, and it smells amazing! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a before pic, but the previous dye had faded to a brassy orangey colour on the light bits :/ and my dark brown roots were coming through. This auburn dye has evened it out and I actually prefer the shade on my natural colour (I had been worrying that I'd need to lighten then dye my hair from now on to get my desired colour). I have one or two white hairs in my side shave, and they've come out the most gorgeous colour-flashes of an electric 'midnight orange' amongst the darker shade. I think this will come out as great natural looking highlights when I grow my natural colour back in. I love it so much, I've already gone for 'subscribe and save'. If the colour alters over the next 48hrs, I'll try to remember to provide pic updates.

Brilliant stuff!!!
I have used box dye for 15 years. The last time was 3 weeks ago. I love this stuff!! As suggested I used a clarifying shampoo to remove product build up then let my hair air dry to just damp. The henna went on easily, I used one bottle for thick shoulder length hair. After I had done my roots , the bottle was difficult to squeeze so I took the lid off completely and dumped the rest all over my lengths. It didn’t run and covered well. I put the plastic hat on and it stayed on well as it seems to stick to the hair. I left it on for an hour and then rinsed it clean with lukewarm water ( never hot) and conditioned with a sulphate free conditioner ( I used OGX found in most supermarkets). Very important not to use sulphites with henna - they strip the colour. Then I cold rinsed. ( Also important to seal in the henna.) pat dry with towel and air dry. The heat from styling tools will remove the colour so air dried again. All in all very simple. Smelt better than the powder and went on better too. So pleased with my colour and silky hair. Would recommend to anyone.

leaves hair soft and shiny, easy to use
Second time I've used this product, last time I chose copper, this time went for the auburn. My hair is dark brown and some grey ( I keep trying to call it silver but no-one seems convinced...) This covers it well, the grey comes out quite bright but looks good as I've not much. If you've a lot of grey you might find this shade a bit too gingery though. My hair is very straight and waist length, one box was fine. It leaves it really soft and shiny, which is what I like. I find as I age my hair loses some of that lovely mirror like shine it used to have and a little colour puts that back. Its really easy to use, everything you need is in the box, though I use my own disposable gloves as these are that one size fits all plastic type. They made it quite hard to grip things. I spread a little on the roots first, leave that ten mins of so then cover the rest, wrap in cling film, leave for another twenty mins and rinse off. That's it, simples. I wipe any staining off my skin with baby wipes as it happens, though organised people will remember to put a little vaseline of something round forehead first. I've never claimed to be organised though, so wiping spills as they happen is my way. Its got a pleasant smell, is so easy, not like the powered Henna I used to buy when I was a teen....and far less messy!

I'm happy with the product, the bottle lasts for about two uses (long hair, up to the middle of my back) and the resulting colour is really nice. The instructions inside are very clear and helpful and it's very simple to put it on. However, I had to colour my hair twice with it (so use the whole bottle), because the first time the colour didn't take that well - my hair was a bit red but not everywhere and it wasn't that obvious a change. After dying it twice the colour it's very radiant and shiny (I love it and got many compliments!). Also, I got a lot of warnings about the smell of henna but as this colour is scented it smells lovely, so nothing to worry about in there. Overall, I'm pleased with how this turned out and I would buy this product again, but probably a different colour. It's worth checking out beforehand what shade is suitable for your hair colour - sadly, I could only find this information inside the package - as I think it would turn out better for me with a different shade. My hair is brown, but probably a bit too light for this shade. Anyway, the fun part of this is experimenting with your hair colour and I very much appreciate that this colour does no damage to hair as that's the only thing keeping me from chemical dye.

Shiny!
First of all, my hair was in a very bad shape after changing my hair colour way too often, bleaching it etc. I needed something I can use on my own that doesn't smell bad and I thought it's worth giving it a go. I was not disappointed! It smells lovely, it's so easy to use and bonus points for not having to stress about watching the time (as a nd person with sensory overload and time blindness I appreciate this lol). I left it on my hair for a few hours. It made it so shiny and bright and healthy looking. My hair was faded dark red with brown roots beforehand and it sort of blended my roots and added auburn shine overall. The colour fades over time (doesn't completely go away though) but I'll definitely use it again soon even if it's just to have wonderfully soft hair. 💖 1 bottle was just right for me.

Easy to use, beautiful colour, lovely smell
I bought this product to give my fading red hair a boost, both in terms of colour and condition. I'd only ever used the powdered Henna before, so using this cream version was soooo much easier. It smelt of lavender as it said it would, which is an improvement again over the powdered version. I originally had auburn hair so it brought my curly locks back to some sort of resemblance to how it looked years ago, I mixed about half the bottle with a conditioner and left it on for the full 40 mins. It gave me the colour I was after without it being too coppery or looking too fake. Really recommend this product to anyone who originally had auburn hair and it really conditions too and that wasn't just down to the conditioner I used.

Love this brand but received mahogany instead of burgundy?!
I love this brand and always lasts ages till it washes out into ginger but was really looking forward to trying the burgundy one as I am after purple shade of hair. To my surprise instead of receiving Burgundy shade I got Mahogany!! Don't understand why is that so and sad about it but will keep the item as the quality is great and I normally use mahogany. This time I wanted a chance hence purchasing burgundy to try burgundy.. Sorta sad, not gonna lie.

Lovely colour, easy to apply, it covers my grey hair
After reading reviews I applied it for 1.5 hours, 1 on the roots and half hour on the rest of the hair (I had a semi-permanent vibrant red that never faded completely, over many applications of natural henna and indigo). It worked perfectly. My grey hair is covered and it looks fantastic. So much easier to use than natural henna, with a lovely smell. I towel dried the hair a bit to avoid dripping, it was perfectly in place for the whole time. Very easy to apply and rinse. I spent some half an hour in the sun, because the heat increases the effect of henna. Even if I have long hair, I have some mixture still left for the next application, it can be saved this way. A fantastic product overall, I guess some hair may not take the colour so well, but for me it was perfect. I don't know how long it will last, though. Update: The colour stayed for two or three months, fading slowly.
