**Q: What colours are included?**
A: Hi, they are a range of greens, browns, blues and greys with a dark purplish red. There is no yellow or orange. The colours are very soft and muted when used dry but brighten a lot with water. Hope this helps

**Q: If used in sketchbooks does the pencil transfer onto the opposite page when the book is closed smearing that page?**
A: Although I usually add water to my coloured pencil drawing, I tried them dry in a sketch book for you. There was absolutely no smearing even when I rubbed the dry pencil work with my fingers and definitely no smearing on to the facing page when the sketchbook closed. Hope this helps. I love the subtle colours of Graphitint pencils and paint pans.

**Q: Are these pencils blendable (as with standard graphite)?**
A: Hi,You can blend the pencils a little like with normal graphite pencils. You can also use the graphitint pencils with water which would enable you to blend them. I hope this is of help. RegardsAmi

**Q: Do these blend well (for example if you rub your finger over drawing to smudge)? Or are they smudge resistant?**
A: I bought these for my wife who uses them in conjunction with watercolor paints. The pencil line on watercolor paper doesn’t smudge by rubbing by your finger. However, the mark can be blended using a damp paint brush.

Up to now I’ve only had time to swatch these, wet and dry and also sketch a small quick tree. They’re a very interesting set of pencils and I’m hoping to get some time to do a full drawing with them soon. Lovely muted tones that should produce really atmospheric results.

A very novel product from Derwent. First, the quality is perfect as usual from artist grade Derwent products, pencils have a nice weight and design, cores are in tact, hold a good point, centered, and presented in a functional tin. The cores themselves are very versatile, so far I've used them instead of my usual 2b to create some lightly tinted sketches. I've played them down thicker and washed over them with water to make some pleasing effects and tones in paper, finally I've found them to be very nice additions to my ranges of colored pencils, as they can be used as low light high saturated darks which are hard to find, or low saturated lights which are also hard to find. Quite unique, enjoyable to use, recommended medium for any artists collection.
