Tamiya 45057 TBLE-02 Brushed and Brushless ESC (Replaces TEU101BK / TEU104BK / TEU105BK) Electronic Speed Controller

I recently bought this ESC to replace the previous TEU-105BK ESC, which finally melted itself to bits and was always overheating with the Super Stock RZ motor. The TBLE-02 ESC was already programmed for my brushed motor out the box and so it was just a case of plugging it into the car and it worked perfectly. I now don’t have an overheating issue because the car remains cool and the motor remains at a safe temperature to function for longer periods of time. Would definitely recommend this ESC as it is cheaper than most on the market and, in my case especially, will run better with some higher performance motors than the TEU-105BK esc. (I have a DF-02 chassis Tamiya, with a 4200mah nimh battery and a TRU-08 receiver + Super Stock RZ Tamiya motor)

I bought this as part of some restoration work on my old Tamiya Racing Mini Cooper that had been sitting in the loft for the last 18 years. Once the old mechanical controller, servo, load resistor and unwanted mountings had been removed from the chassis it was a simple job to fit, and works like a dream. Great product.

Works well and is pre-set for use with standard Tamiya motors. Ignore the set up instructions included with it, it's ready to go.Only observation would be that reverse is not as powerful as forwards (so it's not the same as the old mechanical 3 speed Tamiya speed controller)

Exactly what you would expect from Tamiya.A very good quality ESC to be used with standard silver can motors (or sport tuned/Tamiya's own sensored brushless)The ESC was ready to use straight out the box, just plug the wires in and good to go!Would not hesitate to buy another one.

Very easy to setup, convenient with brushed b/less modes, fits most cars. However, it should last more than few runs, especially when its Tamyia and rather costly.

I have decided to upgrade my ford cosworth escort i have upgraded the motor to a 540 sport (good price) and after using it with the standard supplied speed control that the speed was uncontrollable so i have fitted this speed control. I removed all the old speed control and fitted this item, as I was checking each stage of the of the change over it took about 2 hours, you could do it in 3/4 of an hour if you striped all the old parts before fitting this speed controlthe setup took 2 min following the instructionsTo use reverse you pull the leave full back release and then you have full control of the speed

For what I want it’s a great speed controllerIt’s not going to handle mega powerful motors but it’s a great all rounder I wouldn’t want to pay full retail I only buy on deal price.They are great on brushless and have heat protection to keep it reliable use a Tamiya fan unit if you are using hot motors (Tamiya TFU)
