These are excellent: I used 4 to build a beefy trolley to transport a slate-bed pool table around the room. I did put extra grease int the bearings as I don't foresee turning the thing upside down for some time! But they are well-made, no excess play, free-moving and strong. **Q: Was supprised by the free fitting in advert,** A: They mean there are “free” nuts and bolts to fit the wheels to whatever you are using **Q: Do they move well on thick carpet?** A: Sorry, I don’t know, as these casters were purchased for a work bench in my garage. Can only say the size of the wheel you should not have a problem. **Q: Do these still few strong when screwed on rather than bolted?** A: If you screw them into good solid surface. Mine are screwed onto the bottom of s wooden filing cabinet which is wheeled across wood flooring. They run well on both hard and carpet surfaces. So make it much easier to move the desk to different areas.
