Excellent Rechargeable Batteries
I've been purchasing rechargeable batteries for years now. I have a man drawer with a few spares in that have been charged up so I always have some handy when I need them. Unlike non-rechargeable batteries I find that you don't get much warning with Ni-MH ones before they are nearly completely depleted so it's a good idea to have a few pre-charged ones spare. Despite lots of devices using Li-Ion batteries these days I've actually found that the number of devices around the house that require AA batteries has increased. Things like digital cameras, remote controls, wireless computer keyboards, wireless mice, console joypads, Oculus Rift/Quest VR controllers, children's toys and even electronic doorbells, to name a few, all still seem to require them. The nice thing about these batteries is that they arrive pre-charged (with solar energy!) so they don't require charging (although I suspect they will not be charged to 100%). They also claim to retain 85% of their change after 12 months if they are not used which is great news for the ones that I have stored in the man drawer. These can also be recharged up to 500 times... if that's true then these are going to last a long time! Of course it will be difficult to verify these claims for a while but if they fail to live up to expectations then I will update my review. These seem to be genuine batteries and look like the real thing and I've had no issues with the ones I've used so far. Pros: - Good value compared to regular non-rechargeable batteries - Slightly higher spec than the 2500mAh Duracell batteries - 2500mAh so should be good for more demanding devices - Batteries come pre-charged (although unlikely to be 100% charged) - Hold their charge when not in use (i.e. 85% of charge after 1 year) - Can potentially be recharged up to 500 times - Better for environment than non rechargeable batteries as you are reusing them repeatedly as opposed to disposing of them (batteries are full of harmful chemicals and heavy metals). These are also pre-charged using Solar energy which is much greener. Cons: - Perhaps a little expensive when compared to non-rechargeable batteries but they really do pay for themselves after a few charges. - You get very little warning when the batteries are running out of charge. Always a good idea to have some on standby. Neutral: - As with any rechargeable batteries they require time to recharge

Worth having to save money and materials in the long run
Rechargeable batteries like these are well worth the initial outlay as they can be used over and over again over a number of years, thus saving money on single use equivalents and avoiding the consumption of all the raw materials used in their manufacture.

Purchased for Xbox controllers (1 and series X). Great performance
It was time to dump the non reusable AA's in my hit hard controllers (I have 4) and go rechargeable. I've been happy with the 1 official Microsoft play and charge kit but needing to cover 4 controllers it was going to REALLY add up as these were not cheap. So something cheaper but certainly premium. I have 8 of these batteries now, and am incredibly happy with the pro performance. I didn't need the extra long storage of the standard batteries. As long as they hold for a few weeks it'll be fine. And the controllers rumble packs needed a high drain capable battery. The Eneloop Pro's fit this bill perfectly. I also bought a 4 pack of these with an Eneloop charger and this works great. Charging Red/Amber/Green lights control and turn off the charging automatically. The "case" for these is more like extra rigid reusable packaging. It's great to keep the batteries stored separately but don't think you are getting something wonderful. Of not is that choosing the option with case is a little cheaper than without?? Who knows? finally performance. I've had these now through 3 cycles each in both Xbox One and Xbox Series X controller and they really last. Compared to standard AA's or the Charge and play pack, they seem to go forever. The Play and charge kit is 1,400mAh, whereas 2 of these provide 5,000mAH! Without going into too much boring stuff, that's about 2 Iphone batteries worth of energy. All in all a superb option. I'll update this review after a few dozen cycles to confirm, but so far a great investment.

5 years old and still going
I needed new batteries as it’s coming up to Xmas and I have lots of items needing batteries. Realised I had some of these in my outdoor halloween lights and they still work after being outside for 3 years, with no charging! Unbelievable that they held a charge for that long. I had previously used them in a camera. I purchased them in 2019 so that’s five years use so far. They are on the expensive side, but in my opinion are worth it. I have a drawer full of other makes from Panasonic and Duracell that haven’t held up as well as the Eneloop ones. They don’t hold their charge as well and they drain a lot faster.

Always good and easy
I’ve bought many packs over the years and have never had any issues. They are not quite as powerful as disposable batteries but they don’t take long to charge and last long enough. We use them 100% of the time now so consider the value very good in the long run.

Eneloop batteries are the best on the market
These are nickle-metal-hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries which produce 1.2A of power. Eneloop batteries are designed to have a very low self-discharge. Older rechargeable batteries will self-discharge about 20% on the first day and about 5% per day after that. Eneloops still retain 80% of their charge after a year. They're great for LED torches, cameras and digital radios. Eneloops also have a higher capacity (measured in mAh) than many non-rechargeable batteries. The fact that they last longer and can be recharged makes them the best batteries on the market. They're Japanese and their quality is second to none. There are two main types of Eneloop battery - the black-coloured ones have a higher mAh capacity but will take fewer recharge cycles (~500), whilst the white-coloured ones have a lower mAh capacity but will take more recharge cycles (~2000). For example, people who work in the emergency services will probably want a higher mAh capacity so that their LED torches will last longer, and people who play video games will want higher mAh for their wireless controllers. The lower mAh capacity are more suited for cordless phones, TV remotes, or for people who don't use their torch or radio every day - e.g.,an emergency torch stored in a vehicle, kitchen or bedroom. In practical use, the black-coloured Eneloops last about 35%-40% longer between charges than the white-coloured Eneloops, but the white ones can be recharged 4 times more. Obviously you also need a good quality charger to get the most out of these batteries. There are a lot of different chargers on the market so shop around. Eneloop even sell a charger with batteries included. Personally I use the Ansmann 16+ charger - it's expensive, but probably the best there is. It's also huge! (Ansmann make smaller 8+ and 4+ versions.) The XTAR VC4 is also quite good and the Nitecore chargers work well too.
