Mühlhäuser Waldmeister Sirup, Woodruff Syrup

I know the stuff from back in the day when I lived in Germany. Can't get anything similar in U.S. supermarkets so I had to buy it online. I use it to mix with sour beer and it makes for one refreshing drink on the porch.

I purchased this syrup in an onset of childhood nostalgia. This is a typical flavor of German kids candy and jello, so I was hoping to bring some of it back. Unfortunately, it’s very sweet and the actual woodruff flavor is too mild in comparison. It’s a good product but I wish it would come in a sugar reduced version.

This is crap!

So delicious in Berliner Weiße. I use it as a special treat when I get homesick for my country of birth.

Tastes about should.

Taste is not like I remember it, it is more like vanilla. My children don't like it either. The color is blue-green. I had other brands of Waldmeister sirup in the past, I wouldn't buy this again.

I pour some into a home brewed Berliner Weisse. The earth moved. The planet aligned. Bacchus descended from Mount Olympus to join me with a cold one.
