Modetro Salt and Pepper Grinder Set - 2 Stainless-Steel, Easy-Fill Mills w/Adjustable Coarseness, Lids & Silicon Stand

The old grinders I had were cheap things from Asda (if I remember correctly), and while they lasted some time, they were messy to use. Even so, I'd probably still be using them now if not for the fact that one of them jammed so stupendously it was impossible to open to refill. I choose this set over as it had a nice appearance, and I thought the little mat/holder might keep the things together, as my last pair always seemed to end up a mile apart. I was surprised when they arrived - they are quite a bit larger than I was expecting, certainly larger than my previous (more standardly sized) grinders. Which is fine with me - they hold lots of peppercorns or chunks of salt. As the grinder is in the top of the product, it means there's much less mess, as they don't leak tiny bits of ground salt/pepper on your shelve - and, they have lids too so even if there was spillage it should remain enclosed (although, I feel the lids could be a little tighter). Best of all - no gimmics, such as lights. Who on earth wants batteries and lights in a grinder? Roomy, easy to use, seem to be well constructed (it is early days though), tidy... a very nice combination and should be well worth the cost as long as they don't break.

This is basically what made me come online with the intent to get up to date with my Amazon reviews (There's like a year backlog of orders) because I love these so much! I have struggled to find the right grinders for me for a while and ordered nice new salt and pepper from my favourite website and wanted to be able to use them without the stress of making a mess when filling electric ones or buying grinders that come in their own grinders or even the faff of filling small shakers. These though are wonderful as they just unscrew and have a wide enough top to them that you can just pour the salt and pepper into each of them and screw the lids back on. Not only that but the adjustment for how fine you want your salt and pepper is incredibly easy to adjust and you just turn it upside down and twist it as you usually would! It's nice and easy to grind which is a relief for me as I hate it when it feels like you're putting more effort into manually grinding it than the meal itself took to cook! Not only that but it comes with a silicone tray to pop them into and they're actually sitting upside down as well! They both come with a lid to make them look nice and also reduce any risk of spillage everywhere after you've used them (I know that irritated me with the electric ones!) and it's just never been so easy before and also look great in the kitchen!

Great item, looks good and works really well

We are happy with our purchase. For the value for money, these Salt and Pepper Mills set is a great product. They function very well and look nice. The silicon stand is also practical to organise the mills in your kitchen. However, I think the only down side is that the ground salt is rather large (i.e. the pieces coming out are a little too large, to my taste, which fits very well to certain dishes but not so well on others). But overall, we recommend the product :-)
