Pretty solid
Happy with this item. One point to note is that it does not fold flat, so if you want it for a purpose other than an angled laptop holder, then it may not work out for you.That said, I had some stand-offs left over from my monitor stands that I used to attach it to the vesa mount at an angle, so now it sits like a flat tray above my monitors.

Solid base for laptop
Heavy duty steel plate for laptop/tablet.Appears to be powder coated with a lip on one edge to stop laptop slipping off.This is only the shelf and four nut&bolts. The holes line up with the standard TV fixing distances.The nuts and bolts supplies appear to be a size too small as the countersunk bolt head is recessed in the plate rather than flush. However, the plate is fixed securely and appears solid.
