Still need 2 for optimum sleep
I've been taking these supplements to help with insomnia and nighttime joint aches and pains for 3-4years. I've experimented with dose and found 2 gave me a brilliant night's sleep. With my last order (end 2022) the instructions had changed saying 1 would be enough due to new improved formulation. Having taken only one for the last two weeks, I can confirm that 1 is definitely not enough. I'm waking after approx 4-5 hours, whereas before, I was getting a solid 8 hours. I've also noticed an increase in joint discomfort, anxiety and headaches in the morning. I've therefore switched back to 2, and found I'm back to normal. Given a significant price increase, I'm therefore wondering whether the new formulation was worth it, as I still need to take 2 for the desired effect, i.e. good quality sleep. I'd happily have continued on the old formulation which was as effective as the new one, for me at least. I've therefore given 4 stars rather 5, as I feel the change was unnecessary, and has seemingly resulted in a significant price increase for no additional benefit.

Made me dizzy so had to stop. Also still struggling to understand what strength they are. Does one capsule contain 80mg or 728mg? Very confusing.

Life changing
Taking these has been life changing for me. I used to toss and turn every night and struggled during the daytime due to broken sleep but now I sleep straight through. They work a bit like how you would expect melatonin to work, so take them when you're in bed, winding down, and lights dim, or off. I usually take them around half an hour before I want to sleep and I'm usually struggling to keep my eyes open within half an hour and then sleep straight through. I'm out of bed in the mornings a lot brighter, I've got more energy, and I'm a happier person to be around because of it. I'd probably do your research on recommended daily dosages though, I'm no expert, but I'd like to believe my research has led me to taking the right amount (this one) My friend tried glycinate magnesium, but they were a different brand and were around 3x the strength and she was left feeling awful in the mornings, exhausted and tired. I've advised her to try these ones. But, at the end of the day, we're all different, and what works for one isn't necessarily going to work for another, so research where you can. Taking and researching any supplements can be a mine field, and there are many types of magnesium to chose from, depending on your needs. I chose magnesium glycinate for sleep mostly, but also for the many other health benefits that you get from any magnesium. Overall, I'd recommend glycinate, and a lower dose (this one) if you're looking for help sleeping. You can always up your dosage.
