Best Baby Buy!
This is undoubtably one of our best baby purchases. The beautiful mobiles we recieved as gifts are just a bit too stimulating at bed time but this is perfect. The music lasts about 20 mins and is nice and quiet on it's lowest setting. The range of tunes is nice too but to be honest, we've stuck with one and it's been a great sleep cue for our little one. We bought this when she was about 5 weeks and hard to settle but it really helped her sleep and now, at 8 months, she still loves it and sleeps easiest when it's on.Yes, it is pretty battery hungry but we do use it every night, and often during the day for nap times too. Now that our little one is bigger, she loves pushing the buttons to make Pooh snore - I'm often woken in the morning to the tune and snoring Tigger but she will happily lie and watch the light show, sometimes even falling back to sleep - yay!I was discussing with a group of other mum what the best gifts for new parents were and we all agreed that this was one of the best things we bought and have gifted it since. Highly recommended.

Light show
Best investment ever - I used it for both of my kids and it was used every time they were in the cot. Would definitely recommend

Automatic baby soothing
Great for amusing baby when s/he is bored. There is a day and a night mode. 1) projects on the screen which s/he can view if head turned to the side, and 2) projects onto the ceiling if lying on her/his back.Plays music, and the cartoon figures around the screen are actually buttons that make noises.Best of all, it has a sound-activated mode, so when baby cries, it starts up automatically. Our baby starts looking at the projection before we have a chance to get to the cot! We enjoy looking too.The back of the unit fits through the cot sides, and is easily fixed or removed by a large screw on ring. The only drawback, as usual with baby things, is you can get through a lot of AA batteries, especially on automatic start-up mode.

Baby loves it but useless volume control
I have found this tomy lights how useful both day and night for calming my baby. The tunes are lovely but the volume control might as well not be there. It doesn't change the volume at all. During the day, my 5month old baby loves looking at the screen and has started to press the characters. It keeps him occupied in his cot whilst I have a shower. I don't use it to settle him in the middle of the night, but as a signal that it is bedtime, he likes looking at the ceiling lightship and seems claimed by it. Batteries have lasted quite well, but I don't use it on auto in the night to settle him. I am pleased with it and would recommend it as I think it will be used for some time.

'Works like a charm!'
I bought this for my baby girl who is now 3 months old. In night mode, the lightshow shows the images quite clearly on the ceiling and the main body of the device lights up too with characters and clouds. It takes about 3 mins for the same image to be repeated but only us adults will notice this I think! It has 3 night time tunes (twinkle twinkle little star is one of them) and 3 day time tunes (Winne the Pooh theme tune is one) plus you can change the melody if your tired of hearing the same one. At night time, I play the same one which seems to relax my baby and she knows its bedtime. The lightshow is great for her to gaze at whilst she is drifting off to sleep and it really works like a charm! On auto-mode the melody will loop the tune 3 times and then it will shut down. If your baby is restless through the night it will automatically come on again to sooth your baby back to sleep. In daytime mode, the main body of the device lights up and the tunes are more upbeat plus there are buttons that baby or you can press that make sounds, one of which is a tweeting bird sound. The device clamps onto a cot quite well too. My only negative would be that sometimes I wish the night melody looped a little longer maybe 4-5 times. Overall, I am glad I chose this product and would recommend it! :)

Not as good as the Vtech Sleepy Bear Sweet Dreams
We had the Vtech for the first 3 months after baby was born and I accidentally dropped it and the light show stopped working (turning) so I did some research and the Tomy Winnie the Pooh one was quite popular so I bought that as a replacement.Whilst it looks very cute, it only has 3 song options for each mode (day or night) and the annoying thing is that you have to press a button to make it move onto the next song, it doesn't just move onto the next one automatically like the Vtech (which also has lots and lots of different songs on it). Also at night time mode, my baby looks like a deer caught in the headlights as the light on the side is far too bright and he actually turns away from it. The lightshow on the ceiling is good and moves nice and slowly and the morning mode songs are happy and uplifting and it is easy to attach to the cot (although if you have very wide spaces between the cot bars it might not attach well).Luckily my Vtech started magically working again so we now use that one at night as it had very calming soft tunes and subtle lighting, lots of different song options and you can set it to play for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. If you can't decide I highly suggest going for the Vtech.

Worth its weight in gold!
I cannot recommend this enough to tired and exasperated parents! Yes the tune is annoying after a while (but there are other options) but I simply don't care as the sleep it has provided is worth the annoyance a million times over. After a few tries initially with my 3/4 month old he was asleep by the end of the timed setting and then it comes on again if he stirs and 9 times out of 10 gets him off again. This does mean the tune can permeate sleep but when you wake up in the morning without having to get up a million times you simply don't care. Also, yes the batteries run down quickly but what is more preferable- saving the cost of a few batteries or a full nights sleep?! In addition - to those 'sleep experts' who will tell you they develop a reliance and can never sleep without it- horse doo-doo; my baby is now 8 months and has slept fine without it for several months. However, as you find out as a new parent, every battle you win you will have to fight it again in a months time or so. So, out comes our magic friend Winnie the Pooh for this latest sleep-strike. The fact that I can write this is testament to its fantastic-ness. It may not work for your baby, but it's worth a go!

Wonderful product
Only baby product that activates when the child begins to cry. Has pleasing music and soft ceiling projection. A little hard on batteries but rechargeable batteries solve this. If it lasts for 2 years we will be overjoyed. At the present time it is working very well. Product came from England in 7 days from the date of ordering - much faster than Canadian delivery.
