These Duracell brand rechargeable AA batteries have proved reliable through multiple recharges. I use them mostly in Xbox controllers, battery-powered Christmas lights and remote controls. They work well in each of these applications although, as with most rechargeable batteries last somewhat less time than equivalent non-rechargeable alkaline batteries (probably lasting about two-thirds the time of alkaline ones). But being able to use them again and again of course means that there is the potential to save a lot of money. They charge fairly quickly, although some of that performance will be down to the type of charger that you have. Once charged, they do seem to retain that charge very well over time even if not being used which is definitely a good thing when using rechargeable batteries. There are clearly other less well-known brand rechargeable batteries which come in larger quantities for a similar price. So it’s probably a matter of personal preference whether the Duracell brand gives an extra level of assurance. But for reliability, longevity and a known brand I’m very pleased with these.

Really good rechargeable batteries. More expensive than most but also better and longer lasting than most. Price was good. Would happily buy again.

I’ve been using the Duracell Rechargeable AA batteries for a few weeks in remotes, wireless mice, and a handheld gaming controller. They hold a charge well, and it’s really convenient that they come pre-charged — no waiting around before the first use. They perform reliably for everyday devices and save money over disposable batteries in the long run. The only downside is that in high-drain devices, like my gaming controller or camera, the charge doesn’t last as long as advertised. I’ve had to recharge a bit more often than expected, but for regular use in low-to-medium drain devices, they’re excellent. Overall, these batteries are dependable, eco-friendly, and a solid addition to any household, just manage your expectations if you plan to use them in power-hungry gadgets.

Expensive up front but saves loads down the line. Great to have on hand for the devices that eat up batteries and doing my bit for the environment allows for some smugness when I do.

Perfect for an Xbox controller, especially when you have a recharging station for it.

Well working and helpful to save money to buy again and again unreachable Duracell

Four AA size rechargeable batteries, supplied already charged. 2500 milliamp hour (mAh) means 2.5 amp hours (1,000 milliamps = 1 amp): each battery can output 1 amp for 2.5 hours before recharging. Or if the load is only 500 milliamps (half an amp), the battery should last 5 hours (twice as long). Divide 2500 by the load (in milliamps) to see how long one battery might last. Examples: 2500 / 250 = 10 hours, or 2500 / 1200 = 2 hours. In real life, useful life will vary. But they are rechargeable! Remember to factor-in the cost of continually recharging them, if you plan to make use of the fact that they can be recharged multiple times! Rechargeables only seem cheap if you *don't* recharge them! Whether they will really retain their charge for several years (or leak) I cannot say, having only had them 2 weeks! No chance I'll ever find out: I didn't buy them to leave them on the shelf! These are more expensive than most, but you pay for quality / reputation, compared to cheap unbranded types. Rechargeables can leak and fail: I previously had some unbranded ones which did, after sitting in a drawer for a while. They discharged the usual white powder, corroded, and generally made a mess. All rechargeables are 1.2 volts (only), so less than the 1.5 volts a proper alkaline battery will output. Recharging is a convenience that you pay for in loss of performance too!

Je dois posséder une quarantaine de batteries Duracell pré-chargées, anciennement c'étaient des Dura-Lock, à présent ce sont ces ultra 5 years. Depuis 4 ans que j'en utilise, je n'en ai encore jamais vu une en défaut. Il faut dire qu'il est difficile de les mettre à mal : 2 de ces piles durent 1 an dans ma souris sans fil, 3 alimentent la radio FM de la cuisine pendant 9 mois, il y en a que j'ai mises il y a 3 ans dans des jouets et que je n'ai jamais ressorties depuis... Ces batteries sont plus puissantes que des piles jetables, et donc très recommandables pour les usages intensifs (véhicules radio-commandés, flash, écrans,...) Les batteries tiennent également bien la charge ; pas de mauvaise surprise en prenant dans le tiroir une batterie chargée 3 mois plus tôt, ou une lampe torche qui n'a pas servi depuis 6 mois : la charge est toujours là. Elles arrivent effectivement chargées, on peut donc s'en servir tout de suite, exactement comme des piles jetables. J'utilise un chargeur lent, je trouve personnellement que l'autonomie est bien meilleure qu'après une charge rapide. Je n'ai pas assez de recul pour dire si cela a un effet positif sur la longévité des batteries, mais en théorie ce serait le cas. Cependant pour les personnes ne voulant ou ne pouvant pas stocker des batteries d'avance, il existe des chargeurs très rapides rapides. A propos du chargeur : choisissez le en fonction du nombre de batteries que vous aurez à charger au maximum. Si par exemple vous rechargez régulièrement les piles d'une voiture et de sa télécommande, par exemple 4 + 3, cela fait 7 batteries à recharger, si possible simultanément. Avec un chargeur à 4 emplacements, cela prendra 2 x plus de temps. Ces batteries coutent 5 à 6 fois plus cher que des piles jetables de qualité, et il faut s'équiper d'un chargeur, mais le jeu en vaut la chandelle. Elles sont tout aussi pratiques, plus puissantes, et peuvent potentiellement se recharger 500 fois... si vous arrivez à les décharger autant de fois ! Selon comment vous les utiliserez, vous les amortirez en 5 ans (souris sans fil) ou en 5 jours (jouet radio-commandé). Et même si ces batteries ne sont parfaites sur le plan écologique, c'est autant de piles jetables en moins produites et jetées. Bref, que du bon, équipez vous, vous ne le regretterez pas.
