The product is fine. I am already the happy owner of an older ION turntable . . . BUT . . . the reviews on this product - which made me buy 2 of these for my grown-up twins - clearly state that there are built-in speakers . . . and there are NO built-in speakers. This is not the fault of the company's product details as the company doesn't claim they have built-in speakers . . but I always read the reviews, and the questions and reviews are what made me buy this model rather than another. What has happened ? Are the reviews of an older model ? I've still given 4 stars but I probably would have given 5 without the misleading reviews

Delivered promptly, well packaged. Purchased as Amazon Warehouse deal at £12.39 and excellent value. Stated as used but as new condition. No blemishes whatsoever. Basic unit without speakers but so far, works very well. Power unit, cables and adequate documentation provided, plus other information available from manufacturer website. Software is simple to install and update download of same is freely available. Works well on 45 and 33 rpm, Sound quality depends on source record but so far so good. Simple to transfer recordings into Itunes and Windows media player and provides good results on Ipod. Happy with the purchase to date of writing. Only reason for not being 5 star is no headphone connection available but can be played via powered or PC speakers or PC headphone output.

Great turntable!For the price you pay, this is a very good quality product. With a decent set of speakers, i instantly noticed the improved sound quality from this turntable compared to my previous one (Steepletone). Wood finish is very easy on the eye, and fits nicely into modern or older home styles. Plastic dust cover is a very good idea, and it doesn't spoil the look of the turntable too much.Would thoroughly recommend this product!

At last all my old albums are coming out of the closet, loft actually, and getting a new lease of life. Simple and straight forward to use so long as the albums are clean and free from dust or other contaminents. Been waiting for something like this a long while and I'll be using it a long while to to go through all my old records but that's ok with me.

ION make a large range of Turntables. This for me is ideal. It doesn't come with Bells and Whistles. It just plays vinyl at a good price. Note: Why can't it come with a platter the same size of a LP?.......It's too small about 7'', ION take note,don't be so cheep on the next model

A great looking player,looks brilliant next to my Sony gigajuke ,plays brand new albums fine, but older records it can be fussy, even if they are clean,which was frustrating,so I sprayed a coin black and stuck it on the arm, now no skipping or jumping, so basically the arm is to light,and there is no adjustment,but apart from that,i do like it, and have bought loads of records since ,and don't think I will ever buy a cd again!!! When you play CD's ,it's to easy to forward the track, with LP,s you fully play and appreciate it all

Bought this to rediscover and digitise my long-neglected vinyl collection. A simply styled but perfectly functional product, this just plugs in and, once Windoze has finally worked out what it is (Windows' fault, not the product), you are up and runing painlessly. The software provided can be ignored. It only produces WAV and has no editing features, so if, like most people, you want to end up with mp3 for your smartphone, you might as well go straight to Audacity to record your vinyl. At least there, you are in a one-stop shop to import, edit, and convert to mp3 all within the same program.

bought this item during black fri for £50, pretty good deal. I tested the software, nothing fancy but do the job. The turntable itself work just fine. A little bit surprised the build quality is very solid, e.g. the plastic cover is not cheap plastic and provide good protection for my vinyl (maybe your kids playing football and hit it, maybe you're holding a drink and drop it...things happen) so always a good idea to have that cover. Aftersale support replied my email in 3 days (mine got no problem, just testing), polite and willing to help out.
