Poor build quality, questionable electrical components at best
Upon receiving batteries for this product to test it out I placed the batteries (high quality batteries, used in other equipment with no issues) and immediately started to smell an odd burning odor, I could also feel the electrical elements in the battery compartment heating up within seconds. The build quality of the lamp is low ( very cheap plastic that would not hold up in the environment we work in) and the electronics are obviosuly not very god as the light would not work as the batteries are not securely held in the compartment, it is a soft rubber cover that goes over the batteries. The lights flickered and only worked when I placed pressure on the rubber battery compartment cover and even then only spottily. I would definitely recommend looking for another more well built headlamp, even at the very low price this was not worth it and returned.Update- seller contacted and offered to replace the defective headlamp no charge. Customer service is good, however the product would not hold up in the environment we are working in and will be returning. Appreciate the prompt response from the company and they do stand by the product.
