It's also not as though the watch lacks face markings, and importantly it's not as though the markings are in incorrect places; there's even a level of utility to having the 1, 5 and 9 bolded, what with many people's work days starting at 9, ending at 5, with lunch at 1pm. I could posit other reasons but I believe that the primary reason is fashion. The watch looks good - it looks REALLY GOOD. As I mentioned at the beginning, I get complimented multiple times daily about it. Often people seem incredulous that I got it for such a low price.
