There are other ingredients that give it an earthy outdoor smell. I really like it. The scent fills the room and there is no smoke like some other candles have. I bought another "luxury" candle that I had to return because the smell was so bad I had to air out my house. This one is great and takes very little time to fill the room. There is no smoking and it seems to burn evenly. I would recommend it. I have the Rum perfume from them and like it.
