Practical
Great storage jars.I prefer this style to the "flip-lid" as it is easier to pour the contents out.More suited to dry foodstuffs as the lids say they are single use only for liquid items. On a separate issue, my package was badly crushed and my jar arrived smashed. Cannot fault the seller - a new one was dispatched immediately. 1st class customer service. Highly recommended.

Quality jars for general storage, not for "preserves"
These jars are great for general kitchen food storage: they hold a good amount, and have quality screw-top lids for easy access. What they're not really made for is proper home preserving: The jars come with a warning that says they were only designed to be used once, which means you'd be buying new jars every summer if you wanted to use them for home preserving each year. And that isn't great value for money at this price. But for food storage they are very pretty, sturdy and airtight, and much better for the planet than plastics.

Alternative to Ball Mason jars
All my fermentation lids, e.g.Easy Fermenter, fit these jars, so nice to find a cheaper alternative to Ball mason jars.
