I purchased this to restring my French horn. It does work, but the action was sluggish and the cord frays. It is also much thicker and hard to insert in the holes on my horn. I won't use it again. ..and actually got a strong thread that is much thinner and now my action is quick! I do not recommend this product.

This string is very durable and a nice thickness for my horn. I had no problems using it.

Works well

the ends frays so bad it will not fit through my horn's valve holes to restring it. I suggest buying the yellow string that costs more.
