SOUP MIX,LEEK 1.8 OZ

Knorr Leek Recipe Mix is my go-to base for practically all of my sauces and gravies. It adds such a rich, savory flavor and really enhances whatever dish I’m making. When I follow the exact measurements on the packet, I sometimes find it’s not quite thick enough for my preference. Depending on the dish, I’ll occasionally add about 1/3 cup of flour to get the consistency just right. With that small adjustment, it turns out perfect every time. The only downside is that I can’t always find it in stores where I live, so I usually have to order it. It’s absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for a flavorful, versatile base for sauces and gravies, this mix is a great choice.

My husband loves this mix. It makes a nice soup. I also use it as a flavoring in stews and casseroles. I always keep a packet or two on hand for a quick meal.

Knorr soup and sauce mixes provide a quick, tasty, and efficient means of making delicious meals. I make a delicious cream of potato leek soup that is creamy and tasty with one bag of knorr leek soup mix, some instant potatoes, and a splash more milk than the basic recipe calls for. I empty a bag of leek soup mix into a 3 Qt saucepan and then add 1/2 a cup of milk, stirring to get rid of any lumps on medium heat. Add 1/2 cup of instant potato and stir until combined, adding milk if needed. Add the remainder of 1 and 1/2 cups of milk (2 total), and add 1 and 1/2 cups of water. Increase the heat to high and continue stirring until the mix starts to boil. Turn the heat to low, cover the pot and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir occasionaly and do not allow mix to boil over. Serve into soup bowls and enjoy!
