## Description

Buyers Products SaltDogg SHPE1500 Electric Poly Hopper Spreader gives contractors and facility managers a low-volume hopper spreader ready for residential or commercial use. Electric power means quieter operation with no need for refueling or engine servicing. The durable 1.5 cubic yard poly hopper features a patented double-wall construction. It fits a 3/4 ton or 1 ton pickup truck and uses a bulk salt or a salt/sand mix. The spreader features a 2-1/2 in. stainless steel auger and trough and a 200 lb capacity vibrator to keep material flowing. The auger will automatically reverse if it gets jammed, helping to clear the clog and restore flow. It's powered by an independent 1/2 HP, 12V gear motor. A 14 in. polymer spinner, powered by an independent 1/4 HP, 12V gear motor, can cast a 5-30 ft radius. The vibrator and auger/spinner speeds are controlled by a closed-loop, in-cab controller. The SHPE1500 also comes outfitted with a top screen, tie downs, fitted tarp, and remote auger bearing grease kit. The Electric Poly Spreader is backed with a 2 year warranty.

Review: Great product - I don’t often leave reviews and this unit would’ve gotten a very bad one if I didn’t give it a chance. When I purchased this unit it struggled and bored tunnels and just didn’t work unless I had a guy standing back there with a shovel. For $89 I bought a second vibrator and secured to the back close to the auger and spinner. That cheap add on has made this thing a dogg. No more issues whatsoever and even seems to help with Jams. I will be buying more units and recommend everyone does too

Prepped my truck and a friend helped me lift it into my bed which was surprisingly easy and neither of us are body builders. Thankfully we had a storm to test it out the very next day. Once we had the auger and spinner speed set for how much we wanted to spread and how wide we worked for about 14 hrs straight without a single hiccup. The pause button is great! The installation was a breeze and couldn't be happier with the upgrade. Looking forward to many seasons of use! 10/10 Would buy another if we ever need one for a short bed pickup!

A: We buy bulk salt but a 50# bag is 1.5 cf . There are 40.5 cf in a cubic yard, so about 27 bags. This unit works very well.

I don’t often leave reviews and this unit would’ve gotten a very bad one if I didn’t give it a chance. When I purchased this unit it struggled and bored tunnels and just didn’t work unless I had a guy standing back there with a shovel. For $89 I bought a second vibrator and secured to the back close to the auger and spinner. That cheap add on has made this thing a dogg. No more issues whatsoever and even seems to help with Jams. I will be buying more units and recommend everyone does too

### ⭐⭐⭐ How to turn a great product into a Dogg

What a well made piece of equipment . We maintain several facilities in PA and NJ, and after spending north of 5K in the last month on salt spreading we decided to buy our own. Our mechanic mounted the unit and ran all the wiring and accessories. we were missing the cab controller and wrote to amazon thinking we could get the small part in a few days. Instead I received a link to return the ENTIRE unit for a missing part the size of a few stacked cell phones. Our mechanic has a half a day in installation, and the unit is half the size of a pickup truck and north of 300 pounds. If you purchase one of these I think you will be impressed, just be sure all the parts are there before the common carrier's truck leaves the loading dock. (and that's impossible to do). Come on Amazon, you can deliver a package the same day but you can't wrap your head around a logistical nightmare??? I'm sure Saltdogg will work with you. Don't destroy a great product in the name of common sense! Dan Marrazzo
