My hairdresser recommended working a little oil in my hair as it transitioned to gray. The texture of my hair changed during this time to more of a frizzy-dry look and feel. I had tried several different shampoos, supposedly for dry hair and none of them seemed to work. This is when my hairdresser suggested using a little bit of hair oil. I had just started using a Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner which helped but I still had dry feeling hair and so I tried their hair oil. It helped so much! This was several years ago. I am now completely white-gray headed and still using the coconut oil.
