Works well. Lowered my temps by about 10-20 degrees. Especially works well when the day is cooler. It didn't lower it the 50 degrees like you'll hear people talk about, but for 59 bucks 15 degrees is worth it. Easy installation, straight forward instructions.

2014-2018 GM 1500 are known to have transmission problems and overheating problems. This little guy will save you thousands of dollars! Super easy to install, fits right in! The functionally is seen instantly, you can check your transmission temperature in the dash of your vehicle! I was running at up to 195 degrees, but with this little guy installed, it runs at about 140! Helps when towing a trailer as well, as there will be more oil flow! Here is the proof, sometimes on short drive it won’t even go past 120! Shorts really smooth as well! Great value for the money and the tons of headache, time and frustration you will save by not having your transmission fail early, as these models are notorious for!

The install was difficult due to corrosion on my thermostat block, once I tackled getting old internals removed the upgrade install instructions was straightforward easy to follow. I’m impressed, yesterday my transmission was at 190F with upper 80’s outside, after install today driving 20 miles temperature never got over 153F, after stopping and idling it reached 169F. This is a great improvement!

Definitely made a difference in transmission fluid temperature for my 2015 Silverado 1500 with 5.3L engine and the 6-speed 6L80 transmission. Getting in town reduction of temps at about 25-30 degrees and towing our travel trailer now is 15-20 degrees cooler. Was easy to install. Instructions easy to follow and detailed.

Well made. Was easy to install on my 15 Suburban. Temps are lower out of the box after fluid and filter change... I would say initially this will add to life of your truck...

This is a must for many GM trucks. Easy fix that lets your transmission run much cooler. Apparently, the OEM thermostat bypasses until around 190 degrees. The WIT part replaces the guts without having to do any drilling. Check out the company video, first. Then, check out all the DIY videos. Fits right in the OEM casing, works exactly as advertised, and is worth every penny!

Everyone with a 6L80 transmission should have one, it dropped the temperature significantly on my truck. Quick and easy installation.

I was running 200-220F hot summer temps (Florida) when I bought my 2018 5.3L Suburban high-mileage used in 2021. I did see a reduction into typical 190s temps, maybe breaking 200 on hot days with a lot of shifting, after doing a fluid evac and replacement. But this device is the REAL DEAL that dropped my temps. I can't get the thing to go over 170F NO MATTER WHAT I DO. Now, because the fluid is running through the cooler CONSTANTLY, it only gets anywhere above 155F if I'm sitting in traffic on a hot day and moving slowly without much air reaching the trans cooler. But as soon as I'm back up to speed, especially highway speeds, the temps start dropping and it's not unusual to cruise at just below 150F on the highway with good air flow. I am 100% certain I have just saved, or at least prolonged, the life of my torque converter. If you have a 6L80 this is as important a thing as you can do for it, and it only takes half an hour with extremely basic tools. Most complicated thing you need is snap-ring pliers that squeeze together (not the one that expands). This is every bit as important with these trucks as an AFM disabler to preserve your lifters, and, frankly, this is a more certain fix than the AFM disabler offers. GM has acknowledged that 190-220F is way too hot for your torque converter in a TSB release, but their "fix" is another thermostat that can freeze shut. This fix allows flow even if everything inside the device fails - the default is open flow to the cooler and worst case, in very cold climate in winter, you might need an extra couple minutes of morning warmup. In most of the country, you just leave it so that it's always open - the check-ball lets it clear out any overpressure from one side or the other so there's no harm that can occur. Just a BRILLIANT solution!!! BTW, my PHOTO shows the HIGHEST TEMP I have been able to reach since installing, and driving in warm weather - average daytime outdoor temp here is 80F. To get it up to 169F as shown in photo I had to run it at high revs in 1st gear in stop-and-go city traffic on a blistering day. That's the max I can get it up to now, and it takes a lot of trying! As soon as I hit the highway, or just 45mph in the city, that temp backs down into the 150s quickly.

Does exactly as intended. An absolutely amazing product. Simple to install, directions were very easy to follow and if you need visual help there are many how to install videos on youtube. Took transmission temps from over 100C down to 65-70C and actually improved shifting.

Exactly what it shows came super fast haven't installed it yet. Will be doing that tomorrow. Will get back in time to leave a better review talking about it. installed it March 9, 2025/2 hour to change it over put all new O-rings and gasket behind used to run at 84 Celsius now it runs at 50 Celsius shifts different way. Smoother will wait till Midsummer when it gets hotter to see the big difference highly recommend this should have it for those new trucks for sure worth every penny... it is now April 19/25 back to say wow you have the eight speed transmission. This thing makes a world of difference. Can't believe how much better the transmission runs way cooler the highest my temperature yet gets up to in Celsius 51.

Easy install, working great since I bought it, keeps temps 50-60c depending on highway or city driving. Great for towing
