Not disappointed
Awesome purchase! Very warm, confortable and stylish as well. I wore this in low teens and single digit weather and it kept my head very warm. Not overly tight as some balaclava can be and the price was awesome. Definitely recommend for anyone who has to be out in the elements for extended periods of time.

Excellent!!
I recently purchased the Ergodyne N-Ferno 6823 Balaclava Ski Mask and I am very happy with it. I have been using it for skiing and snowboarding and it has kept me warm and comfortable even in cold weather. The mask is made from a wind-resistant fleece that blocks out the cold air, and it also has a hinged design that allows me to adjust the amount of coverage I need. This is great for when I am wearing a helmet, as I can just open the bottom of the mask to breathe more easily.I also like that the mask is very versatile. I can wear it as a full face mask, a neck gaiter, or just a face shield. This is great for different activities, as I can adjust the coverage depending on my needs. For example, I might wear it as a full face mask when I am skiing in cold weather, but I might just wear it as a neck gaiter when I am hiking in milder weather.Overall, I am very happy with it. It is warm, comfortable, and versatile. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality balaclava for winter sports or outdoor activities.

Kept me warm in below zero wind-chill weather but I also wore a hat; not good for people w/glasses
My boyfriend purchased one of these and I liked it so much that I bought one. I have a black knit balaclava that I never wore because I am afraid to be mistaken for a thug or criminal. This Lime Balaclava, which is more like a neon yellow, goes well with my neon yellow safety jacket. It also protects my face and head during walks. I used it today with a windchill below zero. However, I do put another cap on top and then my hood as well.It is a bit snug in my opinion but stretches to fit me perfectly. My only disappointment is that it is difficult to wear this or any balaclava with eyeglasses. My eyeglasses keep fogging up and I have to take down the mask below my nose in order to see. However, this is not the fault of the garment.Overall, this is the color I wanted and it works, even if a bit uncomfortably, to allow me to walk is super cold weather. The neon color also means I'll be seen better at night.

Awesome balaclava at this price point!
I've used many different face masks and balaclavas in the past for skiing, mountaineering, and winter hiking. I was very happily surprised upon my first use of this one today while downhill skiing at around 13F temperature with 20mph wind. I like the 'hinged' design, which is more adjustable than with just a simple face hole. The thickness of the main fabric was just right for temps below 25F, not too thick or thin, and the length was generous, giving a good wind seal at the neck. The wind-resistant fabric in the face portion did a great job, and the looser mesh over the mouth to allow breathing was also just right, not so dense that it trapped a ton of moisture and iced over and made it hard to breathe, but enough to block the wind a bit over my mouth, and retain some heat behind it. For the sale price, it was a steal, but at the full price, still an excellent bargain.

Thighs for big heads
The concept works well. It is warm and generally comfortable. The bright yellow is helpful to add any bit of visibility. It's pretty quick to put on, and sealed around your head well enough to jump out into windy conditions. Compact enough to act as an underlay for another hat/hood or hardhat. Flare around neck tucked well into other clothes/coat. You can fit safety glasses through the cutout. Makes for decent head covering. My complaint would be in fitment. I have a large head, maybe just touching the top end of average - but certainly larger than the mean size. I found I could put the hood on and get it in place. The cap portion would creep off the top of my head as I moved around. I think this was the biggest area of mis-fitment, the crown of my head had a hard time keeping the cap in place. I probably ended up not using the cap portion as much as I could because of this creep, and using it more as a heavy neck gaiter. The material over my nose would pull tight against the tip of my nose, and cause discomfort after a while. I ended up modifying the cutout to create a dart down my nose to make some relief and tighten up the edge below my eyes. That worked better.I would recommend with the caveat about size/fitment. Order larger than expected.

Love these!
I have several of these and they're great! They're not too thick, so you don't burn up wearing them. They absolutely keep you warm, don't over-heat you, they're comfortable & you can even wear a baseball type cap under it. I use them for work and at home in the cold weather.
