STAR BRITE One-Step Cleaner Wax with UV Protection - Removes Chalk & Oxidation from Fiberglass, Metals & Painted Surfaces

Love the results of this Star Brite One Step Heavy Duty Cleaner and Wax, my husband used this on his Meyers Manx dune buggy with a fiberglass body, some parts of the body were getting oxidized from the hot sun in summer and winter weather which consisted of very cold windy weather and some warm days and hardly any rain, so we thought we would spruce it up a little, the product is easy to use and goes on easily and as they suggest using a soft cloth or towel we used both types, immediately upon wiping a brilliant shine shone through, it even evened out the color and made it brighter and clearer than before, the buggy looks better than ever, it's like a diamond shine and some flat oxidized spots that did not completely disappear during application finally disappeared a few hours later and this is from the first application, manufacturer suggest applying a second coat ten days later which we will do. I absolutely recommend this cleaner and wax for fiberglass car bodies, and even worked on a an old steel bodied truck from what was left on the cloth they both look beautiful, we also suggest using a little extra muscle when cleaning off the cleaner/wax to thoroughly remove the haze and provide that deep dark shine I spoke about earlier in this review. I would give this product ten stars if I could but five stars will have to suffice.

We use this brand every year to wax boats before we put them in the water and like it. This large 32 oz bottle has a screw on lid which makes it easy to spill if the bottle is knocked over. Would prefer a smaller hole on the top to prevent spillage. We buff on, wait until hazed, then wipe off with microfiber clothes. Provides right amount of cleaning to remove last year's oxidation and shines the fiberglass up nicely.

Great wax

I used this on my boat and I am very pleased. Even though it says heavy duty, it is probably more of a medium duty. My boat was very oxidized and I have to use a Super Duty compound first followed by this and then by the Starbrite Polish. Ultimately the three step process restored the shine. This product does not cut the very heavy oxidation by itself but it does a very good job of polishing after the Super Duty. It is almost good enough with the shine, that I don't need the polish after this step. The impressive thing about this product is that it does the job and comes off clean, leaving no streaks when using a variable speed buffer. I don't use this with an orbital polisher so I can't comment on that. I had another product for my second step and I did not get nearly as good a performance from the other product. I would recommend this and would use it again if needed.

This worked fine on my boat in most places, but the labor is so intensive, I’d rather have used the HEAVY DUTY FORMULA that I’m used to using. Was it enough? On some parts of our newer boat that sets outside on a lift, I would say NO. But I would have had to stop in the middle of my project to drive to get the right product or wait for a new order. It says ONE STEP HEAVY DUTY CLEANER in the description, but the tag you don’t notice on the picture says for “LIGHT TO MEDIUM OXIDATION”. The description should say “for light to medium oxidation”. So I fault the listing, not really the product.

I always recommend this in my RV group, so I figured I should here, too. I've been using this on my 34 year old fiberglass RV. It removes water marks, chalking, streaks etc without much effort (compared to other products I've tried over the years). Shines like new! Always get compliments. 👍

SO much better than Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax, Boat Polish and Oxidation Remover -- and much lower price per ounce. I used the Meguiar's product last year--it barely made the boat look better. The Star Brite product cleaned off the white oxidization and restored the blue boat to its original luster.

Did a great job removing grime and light oxidation on a fibreglass boat hull. I even had some scuff marks from hitting the dock and rubbing up against the fenders that I thought were permanent clean up nicely!
