It does break easily; I had to change my technique a bit while using it in order to not break the floss in the tighter spaces between my molars. So far I have twice managed to successfully floss all of my teeth without breaking the floss after taking a gentler approach in the tighter areas. To me the slight risk of breaking the floss is worth it because in the end I am supporting a product that is free of plastic and is better for the planet, and it is not impossible to work with! I recommend this product to anyone who cares about their teeth and the planet! However, I do wonder if in the manufacturing process it would possible to wax the floss a bit more thoroughly and if that would help make it more durable.
