Rec Room paint job on old furniture pieces
Great product! Went on easily after just wiping down the furniture. Water soluble so easy to clean up paint brushes and supplies. We bought two jars and painted an 8 x 2 x 3 1/2โ dresser, a chest of drawers, and entertainment stand for a TV that is 6โ x 3โ x 4โ, and a small bookcase that is 4โ x 12 x 12. We did one coat which did not cover these pieces completely, but we are temporarily OK with that because these pieces are located in a recreation room. The pieces are painted, theyโre clean and they look kind of funky with old colored paint showing through a little bit. Easy to work with and goes a long way. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we were able to cover with just those two jars of paint. Will definitely purchase again.

The best paint I have ever used.

Paint
Bought this to paint my bathroom counter top. Easy enough to use but really let's say the smell is wicked. And follow the direction folks. Each layer give it the max time to set.

Damaged lid
The paint quality in s good. However, packaging must be improved. On three occasions Iโve received broken lids. The last order was so bad that I could not salvage any of the paint and had to return it. The paint is expensive and packaging must be better.

Not good for very old furniture
I have refinished furniture the traditional way, meaning sanding, priming and painting. I needed to paint my sideboard quicky so I thought I would give Beyond Paint a try. My sideboard is an antique, mahogany wood. I cleaned it very well with Simple Green as instructed, then rinsed it several times with vinegar and water, let it air dry for 4 hours. I chose the off white and started to use the paint with the roller as directed and the chip brush. The first coat went on well, except for two areas on the top of my piece. The paint just started sliding off. I continued with the rest of the sideboard. I let it dry and gave it another coat. Again the paint would not adhere to these areas. I wiped the paint off of the areas and gave a second coat elsewhere. I let it dry overnight. There is definitely bleed through and not full coverage with two coats. I was able to cover up the areas that would not take the paint, but you can still see the wood coming through. My piece would definitely need 4 coats of this paint for a truly opaque finish. It looks fine for now as I want the somewhat distressed look. We will see how it holds up. For me I found that you cannot drag the paint with the roller or put pressure like with other paints. Just let the paint roll. You can tap the brush in the corners and the paint will self level once dry. Overall, it did take less time than usual refinishing, but I really should have sanded my piece prior to applying paint. It saved me time, clean up was easy and I am pleased with the result. I used 1 pint for a sideboard and have a drop left. My furniture really sucked up the paint. Not all furniture will come out the way those you tube videos show.
