The waterproof cover looks like a giant shower cap and is very easy to put on and take off. I was worried my water bottle would slide out of the mesh side pocket as we were crawling through thick brush, but it stayed in place the whole time. The bag also has a nice big pocket for a bladder bag with a convenient hole through the side for the mouthpiece. The zipper is plastic so we'll see how long it lasts, but so far so good! Definitely worth the money.

This backpack took us from Colorado to Florida, up the East Coast to Washington DC and NYC. The hidden wallet compartment at the bottom of the bag made me feel so secure with my valuables while spending lots of walking time in those major areas. It holds water bottles, snacks, jackets, and all manner or items with ease. The shoulder straps are padded to perfection, and even with 15 mile walking days, never bothered me enough to need a break.
