The recent fires in Northern California turned our air smokey and hazardous. What was our indoor air quality like? What about the air in my office at work? Did I need to turn on the air filter? This meter is about the size of a large computer mouse. I could take it into different contexts to see the level of PM2.5, which it reads continuously. It functions on battery power, so after it's charged up, it has several hours of power in it. It's also is a clock, a centigrade thermometer, and humidity monitor. How accurate are these readings? It's hard for me to say, but having burned something in my oven, it shot up from 5 to 120. Turning on the HEPA air filter brought it back down to 5 in moments. Very useful.

First of all, this monitor does not come with a US outlet charger - you need an adapter to charge it. Secondly, once it is charged, it does not hold that charge for even 1 day. So, you need to have it constantly plugged in if you want to continuously monitor the air quality, which given the cumbersome adapter I needed to use, was not practical or aesthetic. Third, I am not sure how accurate the readings are since it consistently read "0" for my indoor air, which seems unlikely. I gave it 2 stars for the nice display.

This meter has a very pleasing looking display. The PM2.5 reading is consistently half of the PM2.5 reading from another meter sitting next to it. The worst thing is the A8 came with a european 220v USB adapter which is 100% useless in the USA. Not a huge deal since I probably have a bazillion of them but to someone who doesn't have the right adapter this would be a problem.

I love this product. I have used it for about a year now and it works perfectly just like the day I bought it. I’ve ran it 24/7 since purchase.
