I needed these cameras to set up at my mom’s house so I could keep an eye on her after she had a pretty traumatic fall. The picture is clear, you can set it for person detection only (great if you have a dog or cat) and you can make it detect in only a certain section of the view so it’s not going off if someone is sitting or in bed. You can talk through the camera, there’s a delay but we have that figured out. We still have a few cameras that we can use and they will definitely be put to use! The app is easy to set up and once the camera is set up with WiFi there’s no additional fuss. You can view up to 36 cameras on the app. If you purchase the viewing package you can go back and view previously recorded activity or you cannot subscribe and watch real time only. Would be great for our loved ones and pets or to view outdoor activity such as bird or deer watching.

I bought this because I wanted a streaming camera for my birdfeeder, but birdwatching cameras are out of my price range as someone just starting out in birdwatching. It came with a quick start guide, and then everything else was explained through the tapo app. I'm not a techy person. I don't even have a smart phone, but I set the app up on my tablet, and it took me about half an hour for full set up, from downloading the app to connecting the camera. The camera quality is okay, but about as expected for the price. I do wish there was a setting in the app that let me chose which distance to focus on, as the autofocus seems to be for the farthest distance, so my birds are all a little blurry. The quality will change as well, depending on how many birds are in frame, the sunlight, and how much they are moving. Sometimes I'll look back at a video and think "wow, that's pretty clear" and others it's so pixelated that is washes the color out of the finches. I've included the video of the worst offernder for an idea of blurred and pixelated it can get. I haven't had any connection issues since getting it, though it did take me some tries to get it connected the first time. I use neither an SD card or the cloud. I manually record when I see something interesting, and it gets saved to my tablet's photo gallery. So far, this has worked out great for me. I set it to privacy mode at night to give the camera some rest as it gets very warm during the day, and night vision is pretty useless through a window (the camera reflects itself) It is fully plug-in, and has no internal battery, so if you lose power, you lose camera. When setting up, I relied very heavily on the tapo support webpage, but with that (and a lot of googling) I was able to create a camera account and rtsp link so I can now stream the camera to my laptop. The picture quality isn't as good as the app itself, but it is nice. I chose not to mount it, but instead have it sitting on my window sill, where I can adjust the positioning as I want. It has a wide base so I don't worry about it falling over without mounting it. Though it did come with a helpful sticker with screw guide so align it correctly.

This Tapo security camera works very well and was easy to set up. The video quality is clear, and the app is simple to use for checking the camera and receiving notifications. The connection is reliable, and it gives me extra peace of mind at home. Good quality and value for the price.

I recently purchased the TP-Link Tapo Matter Outdoor Smart Plug to control the RO water top-off system for my shrimp aquariums, and I wanted a camera that would work smoothly within the same Tapo app. This indoor security camera has been an excellent addition to the setup. The camera allows me to check my aquariums while I am away from home and make sure the water top-off process is working properly. The 1080p picture is clear enough for me to see the tanks, water levels, equipment, and surrounding area without having to be there in person. It gives me valuable peace of mind, especially when the RO water system is running. One of the best features is how well the camera integrates with the Tapo app. I can monitor the camera and control the outdoor smart plug from the same app instead of switching between different systems. This makes the entire aquarium-monitoring setup much simpler and more convenient. The camera has been reliable, easy to access remotely, and very useful for more than just general home security. For anyone who already uses Tapo smart devices, it fits perfectly into the existing system. I am very happy with the camera and would recommend it to aquarium keepers or anyone who wants an affordable and convenient way to monitor an important area of their home while away.

This is a pretty big camera, definitely not discreet and not a nanny cam by any means. It is however, super easy to use and has great quality. I can appreciate the stand. It comes with easy to use instructions. App was easy to install and connect to camera. The video quality is pretty good too!

This camera is very secure. I have a neighbor who likes kids a little too much and the fact that this camera is so secure is the reason I got it. The quality during the day is so clear and audio a little garbled but still great for the price. Night time you love facial details a little more but can see the reflection of eyes. The talking through the camera is also very good quality. I had baby monitors that sounded so scary and weird but this sound loud, clear, and consistent. You can also set up the camera on a single screen like a security guard or swipe through. Setting it up is a little confusing at first but when you figure it out it’s less than 5 minutes. When away from the house the cameras are so great with actual real time notifications. I can see my pets roaming and make sure my home is secure regardless of where I’m at.

if you want a camera to just you know supervise your children your house or your surroundings. This is the camera you need to get. One because it’s so easy to set up two because it can detect motion and even s crying baby and it has night vision and to top it off you can talk both ways through the camera or through your phone and all for less than $20 bucks come on now. I don’t have the SD card so everything I see is live but if I get the SD card, I know it’s gonna be much better. I have no negative thoughts about this.

I never write reviews. Well, very rarely. I have been searching for a small camera to place outside my apartment door that pointed at my door and the surrounding hallway. I have ordered multiple cameras, only to have troubles connecting them to the Wi-Fi, or them working for a few minutes and stopping,... It was one issue after another with each little mini spy cam I seemed to purchase. I couldn't trust reviews anymore. I wanted wireless. Obviously if I live in an apartment building it's not going to be easy if it it's not wireless. But that seemed to be the only things that were left out there, that I hadn't tried. I ordered this camera and I thought it was wireless. I was wrong. But hold on. There's more to this story... First of all, connecting it to my Wi-Fi and working with the app was so super simple, I was worried something was wrong. Could it really be this easy?? After I disconnected it from the cord that charged it .... it stopped working. That's when I realized I had made a mistake and it needed to stay plugged in. Duh. The thing is is that it was so simple to get it up and running, seriously less than 5 minutes! And the picture was good! And it seemed to have a lot of flexibility so I could angle it just the way I wanted to. I looked at it and said you know what? I'm going to make this thing work for me. I am not sending a camera that is this easy to set up, back. I have a mini SCD card. I don't want to pay for cloud storage. I don't want to pay for anything extra The cord that comes with this little camera is basically flat so I had no trouble putting it through the top of my door without the door pinching the cord! It was pretty long.... But I did not have an outlet near the door so up up on a step ladder this old woman went, and I taped it along the ceiling line and then I chose a white extension cord so it would blend in with the wall in my living room. I made it look good. I am thrilled with this camera! I can now see who's knocking at my door... I can speak to them clearly through my two-way audio. I can see if somebody has left a package. I am disabled so getting up and down is not always easy for me... And I live alone so sometimes I'm not dressed for guests if you know what I mean lol. This whole review, It does nothing else, I want to make sure that it shows you the ease with which this camera was set up. So that, along with the fact that the picture quality was excellent, so *completely* outweighed the inconvenience of having to figure out how to connect it to the nearest outlet in my home. If you are a frustrated consumer like I was tried multiple cameras only to have to keep returning them and not getting what you want, please consider this one. One. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Excelente relación entre calidad y precio

Primera vez que compró cámaras de seguridad. Este modelo (C 100) y esta marca (TAPO) me pareció muy bueno, no conozco otras, por lo bien que se ve la imagen y sus funciones: un zoom muy bueno; audio bidireccional puedo hablar con alguien cerca de la cámara en mi casa estando yo fuera y lejos; me envía notificaciones de movimiento que puedo configurar a mi gusto o desactivar; la app TAPO es gratis y guarda el red de internet y la clave de modo que no hay que buscarla ni escribir la clave cuando añadimos una nueva cámara; la configuración de las cámaras es muy sencilla; la app permite la opción de guardar en la nube lo que la cámara graba o se puede grabar en micro SD (hasta 128 gb) en la cámara; la configuración de una nueva cámara es muy rápida (6 minutos me llevó y 2 minutos es de la actualización del firmware y se hace sola) gracias a que la app guarda los datos de la red; trae tornillos y un papel marcado donde se deben hacer los hoyos para colocarla; una vez colocada en la pared se puede dirigir hacia donde uno quiere. Es una cámara fija, no sigue el movimiento, pero eso era lo que yo quería. Algo sencillo y económico que me permitiera ver en tiempo real lo que pasa en el interior de mi casa. Sugerencias/Tips: 1.- Primero configuren cada cámara y luego las colocan. El celular debe estar cerca de la cámara durante la configuración. Pueden usar el mismo cable a toma corriente para todas las cámaras durante la configuración de cada una. 2.- Desconecten la(s) cámara(s) que ya configuraron cuando configuren una nueva. En resumen me parece que el beneficio que se obtiene supera el precio que se paga! Ahora falta conocer su funcionamiento a largo plazo...

Very happy with this Tapo security camera! The picture quality is clear, the setup was quick and easy, and the app is simple to use.
