Motorcycle boots
They are good boots. Comfortable and protective

Very comfortable out of the box
I’ve only had them for a few weeks and have worn them 3 or 4 times. As comfortable as sneakers with zero break-in period. I love the twist-to-tighten laces although after reading some of the reviews, I expect them to break at some point unless they’ve upgraded the laces since those reviews were done. Easy on and off (mostly due to the laces) and they look good. I really like them and hope they last. I wear a 13 New Balance sneakers and ordered a 13 and they fit perfectly.

So far, so good.
I love this style, and from toe to heel these are comfortable shoes, I did have to go 1 size up (typically take a 11.5 US, normal or wide, went with a 12) due to the width, these are very narrow. (ballet dancer narrow!) but the extra size isn't too bad. They are great on the bike and OK for walking as well, no pain or pressure points. They are vented, so watch out for sudden rain storms! Mine filled with water quickly! (Still, not the wettest part of that ride!) But excellent in the hot summer season.

Perfect
These boots are truly excellent quality—really top-notch. You can tell they are very sturdy. Unfortunately, the ventilation isn't great for Sacramento, and they run a size small.

Excellent fit and feel. Sturdy
I wear 12 wide. Typically Skectchers fit just right. I ordered these in size 13 (48 EU) and thet are an excellent fit. Snug without being tight. The ATOP lace system works, but took some wiggling to cinch up tight enough. All in all, best boots I've bought in 20ish years of riding.

perfect shoes for riding and streetwear
EDIT: 2 year review update. I still love these shoes, the have held up well after 25 months of nearly daily wear. I have enough experience with them to offer some caveats though. ignore the comparison chart. These are not in any way water resistant. if it is wet out, your socks will get soaked! Shima does offer a water prof version (the ones labeled WP) that work well. when Seattle gets rainy, I wear my Icon Stormhawks. If it's dry out, Shima definitely has the... ahem... edge in comfort and breathability. No the bad news... after a year or so, the Kevlar laces WILL break. They will break frequently. They will break for no readily apparent reason. You will not easily be able to replace the laces. You will hate the laces. you will want to find riding boots that have never heard of ATOP. You will remember how much you love the shoes and tie the crappy string together. Again. Pro-tip, a little dab of super glue will hold the knot together long enough for the laces to break somewhere else. This may seem like a negative review, but the sheer number of ugly knots in my terrible laces are a testament to my attachment to the shoes. I guess I am heading back to E-Bay to see if I can get another cheap knock off strings from some shady internet grifter. Original Review: I ride a motorcycle as my primary commuter vehicle. Uncomfortable boots while riding, and street shoes to change into in my backpack, were just the price of being a safety-gear-guy. Then a few years ago, companies started really catering to riders with the urban combat style high tops. I love them. Reinforced Ankles, soles, toes and shifter pads really elevated my experience. One day while riding with a buddy we came to a stop light. He went to put his right foot down and the loop of his laces caught on his foot peg halting its descent. All I knew at the time was one second he was upright next to me, and the next he and his bike are on the ground with his right leg pinned under it (he wasn't hurt beyond bruising and pride, and his bike was ok). Well my amazon app must have been listening, because the next day out of nowhere these shoes popped up on my recommended feed. I wear them every day! I love the comfort, the style, and the safety.

Too narrow, hurts my foot.
I really like these boots but from the moment I put them on my foot was in pain. I have a 11.5US foot and most boots and shoes fit fine. I ordered the 11.5 SHIMA Edge Vented, Motorcycle Shoes and was really looking forward to having them. I think the quality seems to be spot on but for some reason they are super narrow in the mid-foot, just before the toes. I tried going up a size to 12 and it was the same at the mid-foot but a tad too long so the 11.5 was the correct size. I have found this problem with the Forma (also a UK shoe), it fit great in the heel and length, the mid-foot was a bit of a squeeze. For comparison, I wear a standard 11.5 in Skechers, Dockers and Harley Boots. I wish they had a 11.5W.

Just 😲 Wow.
This was my first time purchasing motorcycle shoes online — I usually prefer going to a store to try them on before buying. Thanks to ChatGPT, after doing a lot of research, I finally placed my order. I chose size 43 Narrow, and the shipping was impressively fast — Amazon always surprises me with early deliveries. The item arrived in excellent condition, packed in a high-quality box that keeps the shoes well protected during long-distance shipping. I’m from Saudi Arabia, and since I live in a remote area where Amazon pick-up isn’t available, returning items is quite difficult. However, I received size 42 instead of 43 Narrow, which other customers also mentioned in their reviews. Interestingly, my actual foot size is 42, but I initially found it a bit tight around the edges — that’s why I opted for 43 Narrow. Because of my shipping limitations, I decided to keep the pair. Thanks again to ChatGPT for the fitting tips — after wearing the shoes a few times and following the stretching advice, they now fit perfectly. The protection level is excellent, especially considering how lightweight and stylish they are. I can easily wear them with jeans or even suits — they’re not bulky or awkward-looking at all.
