Does this have a hole at the bottom of the bottle, like an airlock?

No hole at the bottom. The plunger that comes out of the top has holes in it at the very top. When you squeeze the bottle, the water comes out of those holes. The plunger locks down when the bottle is not in use - it looks like a thermos until you press the button on top - then the plunger appears.

Empty before traveling

This little bidet bottle is so useful and easy to use! However make sure that you empty it while it’s in your bag if you’re traveling. It isn’t water-tight like a drinking water bottle would be even though it may look like a water bottle. But that’s easy to do, just refill it when you get to your destination. The water stream comes out at about a 65° angle, which is useful in the bathroom. I love it!

I use this product during my travels just as I would with my home bidet. I found it very satisfying to be able to have a bidet on the go and mechanisms are pretty good.
