Fine Tooth Comb

I have very long, full hair. I wrestle with embracing a natural lifestyle, avoiding chemical treatments and somehow attempting to maintain beautiful 'locks' that will style too. Admittedly, many natural products tend to not be equal to chemical-laced alternatives. So the battle is compromising for better results, but even then I've still searched endlessly for the real responsive and simplified hair-care results. For me, this is an extreme breakthrough. I had NO idea! All thankfully because I was replacing a lost favorite comb ...which in fact I use very little for actual 'combing', but merely light styling and touch ups before a quick spritz with hair spray. Well, I made the discovery ....for myself that is, of a lifetime ...Sandalwood! Green Sandalwood that is!! Who Knew!!!!! ...Sandalwoods are all beautiful, but they don't all have the same qualities. Green Sandalwood has natural oils infused in the woods that ever so gently condition the hair-shaft and even lock down the cuticle bringing out the natural shine. I cannot tell you the amount of products this replaces and the problems this solves!!! I am older so we aren't talking 20's & 30's hair ...this hair needed caring ...and literally one session of combing these locks!!!! ...first of all, it glides through my hair like silk. I am so impressed!! Then when I took a look in the mirror ...Am in amazement! Smooth with volume there and a healthy shine coming through that I only have rarely seen for quite some time. Not a product ...a COMB! I'm shocked! This little beautiful comb is going to be my best buddy standby ....every day!! My hair easily 'limps' if I use typical conditioners or oils ....so my options are few for compensating or attempting to enhance shine and bring a healthy glow ....and this did an impressive job in one session. I cannot and am not overstating ...I only combed my hair for perhaps ten minutes with the Green Sandalwood and got those 'first session' results... impressed and ecstatic! A huge, huge hair dilemma solved for me. Some with thicker hair might need a light brush through first with a hair brush for hair to be reasonably comb-able ...although this detangles well enough with the right touch. I also really do like the size of the teeth. I've never been a 'comb' girl ....brushes, brushes only ...long hair ....so just brushes, and any kind of comb merely for a quick part or smooth stray wisps. My hair is quite long ...but trying for volume and conditioning while avoiding toxic products, treatments and reverse benefits like hair weighted from ingredients and becoming unstylable or un-curlable has been my bane and an endless problem. For all the hair girls out there ...I was merely looking for a comb and got a whole different 'life' for my hair with being introduced to the wonders [and wonders they are!] of Green Sandalwood. For me, Unbelievable results is all I can say!

I am a guy and my hair is naturally curly, I would say my curls are a 3B curl type and I keep them at a short length only slightly in front of my forehead. This comb works great with my hair in the shower, I am careful to only use it when my curls are wet, otherwise, it is the afro city for me. The comb is a little smaller than I thought but incredibly sturdy. To be fair, my hands are big and even controllers for video games can be somewhat small for me. But the comb is solid, it does not feel flimsy. You can use this comb to style your hair a bit outside the shower, but if it is curly like mine be sure to only use a/this comb when it is still wet/damp. I was born with my curls and no comb or brush will work dry on curly hair, I guarantee it. So don't use this comb on your hair while it is dry then get upset when it does not work. It's a curls thing. As for the smell I read about from other reviewers, my comb did not come with a weird smell. It simply smelled like raw sandalwood but it was not strong, and also do not expect it to smell like a Bath & Body Works candle because it does not. As for color, the comb came with a light brown color to it, but not as light as the photo in the listing. It had a somewhat dark shade to it. I assume it is the green that the description mentioned but it is not easy to see as of yet. When I used the comb in my hair, I felt an immediate difference in comparison to my shower brush. It was the shower brush you can get from Marshall's, looks exactly like the Crave glide brushes but with colorful patterns (flamingos.) When I used that brush (plastic) I could feel a pulling. It was never harsh or painful, but I could feel the pull even in the shower and it left my hair with flyaways like static. When I used this comb (in the shower) I had to make sure it was actually in contact with my hair because I felt no pulling at all. The comb just glided right through my hair and after styling it had very little flyaways. I assume with time and extended use, the difference will become more apparant. Overall, a great purchase.

I recived this comb today, I was surprise at how well made a wooden comb can be. The tooth is not too wide or too fine, the handle is easy to hold, and tooth has a good depth versus some comb that have only half and inch depth.

Beautiful comb, and I love that it's hand made. The only thing that could be better is the width. It's a bit thick, making it hard to use for parting hair. I think I may sand it down, as the comb is so nice otherwise that I want to keep using it a long time.

I love this comb. I love woods. This comb is beautiful and smooth and will probably last longer than I will. I have looked at a lot of combs and they are awful. This one is beautiful. I think if you use something daily it should be something that is beautiful.👍❤️

Nice comb I am very excited to replace my plastic combs and use this one. Very well made, the perfect size, thickness of the wood is perfect and the material used is excellent.

Gentle on the hair, smells nice of sandalwood! Came crystallised but cleaned it. Great comb but wish it was made from one piece of wood, the bristles and handle and glued to eachother.

Vorab kann ich sagen, dass der Kamm meinen Erwartungen entspricht. Angenehmer Duft des Sandelholzes und gute Funktion. Alles weitere ist erst nach längerer Nutzung möglich. Bisher sehr zufrieden und meine Empfehlung.
