After using this for many months this is an amazing monitor that goes well with my 5080. The display is very beautiful with vibrant colors and clarity. The 240hz is great and it's hard to go back to anything lower once you use it. It arrived in a large, sturdy box where the monitor is well protected. The stand is fairly big but has a hollow area for cables to enter for clean cable management. If you have read any other reviews then you will probably know that the HDR is good but shouldn't be bought if HDR is a main priority for you. The only thing I can think of that will look better than this monitor is a high end OLED monitor. For the price it is a great monitor.

Definitely the best monitor I’ve ever owned personally and by far the most color accurate monitor I’ve ever had as well .. I’d say this is the best monitor you can get before you step into the mini led or OLED lane but man this thing is a beast I’ve had it for at least 2 months so far I paired it with my alien ware pc and man they pair so well .. and I’m the 2 months I’ve had it I’ve used it daily and haven’t noticed any type of ghosting even in overclocked mode .. next move will be OLED for sure but this will definitely do until then .. if you’re looking for a monitor with insane refresh rate .. beyond great color accuracy and hdr this is for you .. I promise you won’t be disappointed and if you see any bad reviews don’t believe them .. this monitor is insane and will quite literally blow your mind durability seems very good as well this isn’t a regular lighter weighted type of monitor this thing is hefty 😂 I’m the best way possible

I purchased this monitor a year ago after extensive research. I was looking explicitly for a monitor that had an IPS panel, a fast response rate, a high refresh rate, was QHD, and offered a great warranty. The Alienware offers all of these, at a great price. I’ll list the pros and cons that I’ve experienced over the year of owning this product. Pros: - IPS w/ 98% SDR/HDR color calibration out of the box - High SDR Brightness - 280hz Refresh Rate - 0.5ms Response Rate w/ overdrive - QHD (2560x1440) - Build quality is top tier - Zero ghosting - No flicker - Freesync Pro works with AMD/Nvidia cards - 3 year warranty out of the box from Alienware Cons: - Backlight Bleed is noticeable on black wallpapers or in very dark scenes, probably one of the worst I’ve seen. This is common with this unit if you search it. For me, it’s not a massive issue because I only use it for bright FPS titles. I have an ultrawide OLED for other games. - Alienware UI is lacking compared to competitors. The UI feels like there’s a lot, but there’s actually not. This is especially true if you try HDR mode, where the panel will lock the color, and brightness settings. Why this is makes no sense to me. - No HDMI 2.1. This doesn’t really matter since it’s not a 4k monitor, but I would assume it would have one since the monitor was released after the currentgen consoles. At the price, it surprised me. I use DP 1.4 either way, so it wasn’t an issue for me. - No speakers. This personally doesn’t affect me as I use either headphones or a surround system. However, it technically is a con. - Mediocre HDR performance. The HDR performance is mediocre at best. The gray uniformity isn’t the greatest because the backlight bleed, which takes away from the highs and lows HDR tries to accomplish. The HDR brightness is also technically below standard. I would recommend SDR, which looks very good anyway. - Semigloss screen coating. The coating appears more matte than semigloss to me, but it’s not bad per say. It’s still good enough to not wash out the colors like some matte coatings, but I definitely feel like calling this semigloss isn’t accurate. I would rather call it lightly matte. Conclusion: - This monitor excels at being a top tier choice at competitive fast moving games like CoD, CS2, Overwatch, Etc. However, it does not excel at games that would be better played on an OLED or MiniLED panel. I own this monitor strictly for FPS titles, and have the OLED AW3423DWF for other games. My use for this monitor is fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who plays fast paced competitive games and can push the frames to utilize the refresh rate.

Bought this used, but it was in excellent condition. No scratches or signs of wear (aside from the original box that looks like it's been through hell and back lol). No dead pixels or anything and it does everything I could want. Lots of customization options, easy to set up, and the screen looks great for both gaming and work tasks. The ability to run games at 1440p/280hz is amazing, it all runs so smoothly! Build quality seems excellent as well, it's built like a tank but isn't crazy heavy either. Overall, quite happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great 27" 2k monitor.

I took a chance on the used, like new monitor. Turned out to be a great choice. This thing is in like new condition, but I did have to clean it up. It arrived in a beat up box and the monitor had some weird smearing all over the screen and was basically covered in dust and pet hair. I feel like Amazon could've at least cleaned it up a little bit before selling it to someone. It also didn't come with an hdmi cable, but that's ok for me as I use my own Display port cable for everything. Also they couldn't be bothered to put the monitor in the protective plastic sheathing, but instead just laid the bare monitor on top of it, boxed it up and sent it to me. Definitely could've done better with all that I just mentioned. However, I'm happy with it so far. The HDR is not good, at least I couldn't get it dialed in with the Windows HDR calibration app. I've given up trying to find a monitor in my price range that has decent HDR. When I have more to spend I'll get an OLED that has nice HDR. For now this is it for me. The regular picture is outstanding and I appreciate how it's factory calibrated. I love the high refresh rate, makes games look amazing. The RGB lighting on the back is a nice touch. It looks very nice overall. The USB ports are also appreciated and the stand is heavy duty and we'll made. For what I paid for this monitor, I'm very happy with it so far.

Love it!, I bought it to replace my work monitor to pair with a new Gaming/Workstation PC I built, and wanted something decent that I can use for gaming to, and it does both things pretty well. I didn't want to go with an OLED due to bad reviews people have when using them for Gaming and Working, but hopefully those issues will be fixed in newer gens. I am not color/video expert, so for my use case it works pretty well out of the box. Oh and the material and aesthetics of the monitor are great, the downside is the beautiful back of the monitor is always facing the wall, so I cannot see it lol.

I was really excited about this monitor, but it has the worst backlight bleed of any monitor I have ever owned, IPS or otherwise. I didn’t spot it in the Amazon reviews but further searching online revealed it is a common problem with this monitor and because of that I’m wary to even try to exchange it. On a product this expensive, it’s unacceptable. Do note that all IPS panels have some level of glow to them in the corners and that is generally okay. It is not the same as backlight bleed and the bottom right corner of mine is far worse than the others. In gaming and even on the desktop it is VERY noticeable. Setting aside the backlight bleed it is actually a great product and that’s what I find most upsetting. Colors pop, the response times are great, no ghosting or other problems. Everything about it functions the way I would expect a monitor of this price to do. Even the IPS glow is substantially reduced compared to my not-that-old LG ultrawide panel from a few years back. But given the widely reported backlight problems, I encourage people to avoid this one

Monitor looks great. Works very well. No issues with the monitor. Issue is with price. I don’t know if it’s the seller or what. I bought the monitor and 2 days later the price dropped $70. A little bit shady to me. So, the monitor is a five. Minus 2 stars for price dropped 2 days later.

Lo compre y lo uso principalmente para juegos FPS creo que es su principal uso, aunque no dudo que se le saque partido para otro tipo de tareas, la velocidad es excelente a 280Hz, se ve excelente en cuanto a backlight bleeding debo decir que la unidad que me toco no tiene lo cual me sorprende bastante ya que es IPS considero que la calidad que tiene Alienware es muy buena tal vez por encima de ASUS ROG, pero pues cada quien habla como le va en la fiesta, ya llevo un par de meses usando el monitor sin mayor problema y no tengo tema en recomendarlo por calidad precio creo que esta muy cumplidor, obvio no es barato pero tampoco es lo mas caro.

O monitor é um espetáculo, porém o cabo Display Port que veio está com mal contato. O monitor fica perdendo o sinal constantemente. Preciso que enviem um novo cabo Display Port.

Item received pretty quickly despite the 1 day delay (not a big issue). Works like a charm.
