Game changer for couch life
I’m honestly so impressed with the CouchConsole Original Tray! I bought the black/black version, and it looks sleek and modern making it blend in perfectly with my living room setup. What I love most is the stability. The cup holder has this neat self-balancing feature that keeps my drinks from tipping over, even if I move around on the couch or use it in the car or RV. It holds everything—my drink, snacks, remote, phone, and even has a little compartment for random things like lip balm or earbuds. It’s super sturdy and well made, not flimsy at all. It’s been perfect for movie nights and road trips. I actually bought it for my RV but ended up using it daily on the couch too. Highly recommend for anyone who’s tired of losing remotes in the cushions or juggling snacks on their lap

Excellent, Stable Couch Console
Have had this a few days, and am loving it so far. It keeps your drink sturdy, even when you're moving around on the couch a bunch. It's great that it has a storage area for remotes, and the snack container is great! The built in lid is awesome.

Well built, but cup holder almost useless.
Well built and very handy but the stabilizing cup holder doesn't fit 90% of the cups we own, I wish I could get it with two of the standard holders.

Sturdy and stable
Not to big. Not to small. Perfect size. Very sturdy and stable.

Love the cup holder
Honestly, my couch is old ans kind of crummy so I bought this like 90% for the self balancing cup holder because I already have a cup holding pillow but it's an iffy situation because my couch isn't flat and the drink can still spill from the tilt if I'm not careful enough. I was able to tilt this on purpose and still keep my soda upright and spill proof. It's not merely stable, short of a hanging, weighted gimbal for stabilization, I don't think it can get more stable than this. My poor wife had to deal with me twisting the thing around like it was the latest quantum miracle of technology. But, yeah, I'm impressed. What I wanted it for most, it delivered in spades in an immediately observable way.It comes mostly ready to go. The only thing I really had to do was take the little extra support out of the bottom of the cup holder and put it in the rear compartment and that was essentially it for assembly. It simply isn't that complicated. I think the thing that I had the hardest time simply figuring out was that the the spacer between the two smaller modules is also a clever fold out lid that fits into the top of the snack holder module. Which is genius for efficiency and space saving. I'm not sure when you'd need it but I guess it's nice to know you couldI will also say, having only a couple of hours of use so far, the arm rest pad was nice. It was about the level of comfort as my couch's arm. Not amazing but quite nice as an option with what this is.For disappointments, there's nothing much particular to gripe about having just started using it.It definitely looks like the giant hunk of black plastic wrapped industrial polystyrene that it is. It's not a work of art but I also didn't expect it to be. It is slightly bigger than I was imagining which scared me until I actually used it and it isn't that much wider than the rectangular cup holding pillow I got it to replace. Since it's square, that makes it take up less space overall, so it ends up feeling smaller in use.The arm rest is nice, as I said above, and my phone fits ok in the slot for it, not ideally because I have a thickish case but it is reasonably sized as long as your case is reasonably so. However, the arm rest and the phone & remote holder are a single piece, the two uses on opposite sides, so you do have to pick which you want more, an arm rest or a phone and remote holder. The bottom of the item is very mildly textured strips of extruded plastic, set at a 45 degree angle to the sides. It's less grippy than the sheet of rubber to keep your remote control in place but it seems like it will keep the product in place well enough on a couch. I don't know if I would want to put it on anything delicate or solid though. It seems like it isn't grippy enough to stick but might be enough to scratch. If my couch was something for display, I might worry about it, but for its general intended use in the general intended context, it seems fine. The most baffling bit of construction on the thing is the little tab on one side that looks like a product name tag but is a solid tooth of plastic jutting out. That does ruin the clean line of the product and it's something to jab or catch. It is at least small. It is the one thing I would actually actually ask to change about the design, though. There are a few features I haven't used yet and I'll rewrite this if they have any significant impact in my feelings about the product but I don't particularly feel like they will. It's really just storage space and a usb-c cord with connected exterior plug. Unless there's something amazing or disastrous hidden away, I can't see it affecting my opinion that this is a solid five star product. It delivers what it promises. If that is what you want, you'll be happy with it.

Good ideas but not falls short for the price
When I found the Couch Console I loved all of the features it offered and thought it would be perfect for my needs.Unfortunately, once it arrived there were several things that stuck out to me (and while they may be nitpicky) they were enough for me to return the item:1. All of the writing / labeling / tags make it look tacky. I don't need a permanent label to tell me where the storage is or what the spacer is. The tags take away from the sleekness make it stick out when the goal is to blend into the couch.2. The spacer is supposed to double as a lid but if you decide to use it as a lid suddenly you don't have a spacer. Now those two slots (the cup holder and snack holder) will slide around.3. The device charging situation relies on you having an external battery that you put in the storage unit and then have a cable sticking out from the top of the console to charge your devices. It would be so much better if you could plug the couch console into the wall and then there was a port inside the storage area to plug in your charger of choice. Would keep the unit looking clean while providing the same function.4. There is no all-black option, you have to pick one of their accent colors. My living room is filled with browns but I had to settle for the grey option. I didn't think it'd be a huge deal but the cup holder is the accent color - so when it's not being used, there's a huge cup-holder sized circle of grey.Again, I know this may be nitpicky but I feel like it's so close to being perfect that the issues are more noticeable - for the price I just can't justify the shortcomings. I'd be completely on board if they:1. Removed all the unnecessary labeling and tags.2. Made the spacer single purpose and offered a separate lid you could store away when not needed.3. Made it an option to plug into the wall and then charge from the storage unit.4. Offered an all-black option with no accent colors.
