However, the bowls are really way too big for my 8 pound dog - will easily hold two cups of dry food. I ended up putting this in the family room where I keep a water bowl and dry food for her throughout the day and use something else for her wet food meals in the kitchen. For a small dog, I would probably recommend getting the smaller model. The aluminum bowls are easy to clean and I find that I like them much better than the ceramic bowls I have been using.
