Wind-Up Train Book (Usborne Farmyard Tales)

My train lover nephew absolutely loved this book! It’s perfect for car or air travel, lightweight with multiple tracks to keep them busy! Can also use any wind up toy similar size.

I bought this cute book for my 2 year old grandson who is a big fan of trains.The little wind up car doesn't follow the track in the book very well ...often getting stuck.I haven't been able to find a replacement car to see if that is the problem or not.

Great great book and activity toy.. I would've loved to get one more for my other grandchild, unfortunately they were sold out. We, the grandparents had fun playing with it as well. A great learning, and fun book. Highly recommend it.

Love the capability to interact with the book, but unfortunately it arrived too late for the date needed to give as a gift.

The graphics are great and the story easy to follow for the kids. To drive the train, you have to make sure to even out the levels so the toy is riding evenly through the pages.

Really liked them so I bought both, but they both have the problem with the pages getting wrinkled, then the train or car won't go over them and get stuck.

The kids really enjoy it.

Grandkids just love the interaction with this book-so engaging! Fun for Grandma, too! Wish I would have thought of such a great way to keep children's attention and yet have a learning experience.

A great idea for the book, but not without issues.As has been mentioned you have to go to some lengths to get the book to lay flat so that the train will run between the pages. The train, although still operational, rapidly runs out of "wind", so my boy mostly resorts to just pushing it around the page which he seems to like.We haven't got as much use or enjoyment from this as I'd expected, but overall it's a good idea for a book - just could have been implemented a little better.

I bought this book for my 2 and a half year old grandaughter and I have enjoyed playing with it. The little train runs around a track on each of the story pages through a landscape which varies with each story e.g. beach trip or countryside. The train is wind up so no batteries to run down. The book should be on a flat surface or the train can run off its tracks but I can find no other fault with it. Much better price than instore too.

Idea is great but the little engine needs rubber grippy wheels as the plastic ones slip on the glossy pages. Also unlike the similar car book the engine cannot be wound up enough to do a complete circuit of the track.

We first saw this book in a bookshop - but decided to wait until we could shop around and are we glad we waited until we could see what Amazon could offer. Amazingly it was two-thirds the price and delivered free. The book will be a Christmas present - an ideal combination of words and wind-up toy for a little man who loves trains.

The perfect Christmas gift for my 3 year old nephew (and his parents). This book is so clever and fun. Each page provides a new track and story for the wind up train to explore, we all loved it.
